I guess you missed the giant lesson taught in Israel on October 7th when Hamas invaded multiple Kibbutz to execute and kidnap innocent civilians and there were very few armed guards to stop it because like you Israelis thought they would be safer without guns. I grew up in the hood near a gambling/bootleg shack. I was 7 years old the first time I saw someone shot to death. Young minds are fairly resilient in processing these matters. Not talking about it is much worse than discussing it. You can't pretend that you didn't see what you just experienced.
