hey girl, i’m going to beauty school this fall in nyc, looking to become a bridal makeup artist, how would i go about finding a company/employer to work for?
Hey congrats! Omg I'm so jealous! NYC is the perfect spot to get a job as a makeup artist. You'll have so many great opportunities :) Finding an employer as a makeup artist it like finding a job for any other career to be honest! Looking up some companies you are interested in whether online through Google or Instagram even and see if you like what they represent :)
That's a great question! Creams are a made with emollients to create their consistency which means that bacteria can spread throughout the entire product with just a touch of a finger or brush etc. When you spray alcohol, it cannot penetrate through the top layer of the cream product meaning that you are really only sanitizing the surface not the entire thing. Powders are different since alcohol is heavier than the ingredients in powder and therefore can penetrate through the entire compact. This is why all creams NEED to be depotted in order to use on clients :) I hope this helps!
Research shows that 70% is most effective, more so than 90-100%. I believe it's that alcohol breaks bacterias' "shell" and then water drowns it. Without water it does damage but doesn't kill
@nimikina is correct! The higher the concentration of alcohol the quicker it evaporates which doesn’t give it enough time to kill bacteria. 70% is the perfect dilution with water to kill bacteria.
