I was commissioned to make a custom build art display stand for a local ceramic artist. The goal was to keep is low profile and fine as to not seem to bulky. The base was made out of two square plates of 3mm mildsteel. they were glued together as to not induce any warping by welding. The bottom plate is a bit smaler than the top plate, which is 30 by 30 cm, so it seems like it's floating above the surface. The armature is recessed in the top plate for a clean junction and succured to the bottom plate with a countersunk M4 bolt. The forks of the armature was the most challanging part since they need to be to a specific size and orientation to possition the artwork in the correct way.
All-in-all I am very pleased with the end result and proud to be able to enable a fitting presentation of this piece of work.
