Nobuo is absolutely savage and I'm 100% here for it :D also he was soooo right about Rikkis Voice and how she transported the emotions well enough for everyone to understand what she's singing about, especially with those beautiful animations.
I like how the voice actors are so into their work, it seems to be more than a paycheck for them. That makes this game more special because the people behind it seemed to put great care.
Man you can really see how much they cared while developing this. It's beautiful. Thank you for sharing this little documentary into one of my favorite games !
This game will always hold a special place in my heart. It was so much more than a game. The story was so good and the emotions so real I mean, so ahead of it's time. Now we have all thes high end graphics and whatnot but good relatable story based games are few and far between.
I love that James' (Tidus) favorite scene is the scene that people have laughed about for years cause now I understand it was meant to be a joke and he intentionally sounded bad for it.
If you've played the game or at least watched the entire scene, this is patently obvious. Yuna was saying that Tidus should try to be happy and laugh even if he wasn't feeling happy, so he forces himself to fake laugh but they end up laughing for real. I'm not sure if people are just purposely exaggerating for comedic effect, but it's actually kind of a sweet scene in context.
Agreed. FFX is the best. Bought this game when I got the PS2 brand new and getting every other port to it up to PS4/PS5 on the ps5. One of my favorites on this game is the character development and battle system relationship. No game before this had given the player the control over how each character was going to develop throughout the game until FFX came out with the Sphere Grid. Wished there were more Final Fantasy games with this type of approach in it or a combination of job classes and a sphere grid in future games. It has been a pleasure being a loyal Final Fantasy fan for almost 25 years. Can’t wait til FF16 in June. 😊
I watched this on the bonus CD right after the game came out.... After 16:32 is just so wholesome, hearing that right there in ~2003 did influence my thinking for the future to appreciate games more for all the effort put into details, so have to thank FFX in a way!
I absolutely love what James Arnold Taylor said about becoming a better person from getting deep involved in this story. That’s what movies and video games are all about!! If you don’t become a better person from it, then there’s no point in it! It should inspire you in some way! Even if it just motivates you to go out and be a total bad ass like doom guy and kick life and it’s evil forces asses!!! That’s what a lot of todays games have forgotten and especially movies! There has to be inspiration and passion!
X was a disappointment on all assets when it came out too. The subhuman likes to worship things out of its context so it becomes disappointed. FF has always been bad in a possibly clever way. It's still stupidly enjoyable today & thankfully nothing as atrocious as blitzball has returned
@@destroyermcw626 yeah just because someone who didn't even work on the game called him teedus, doesn't make him right. There's a whole argument about his name between a bunch of people and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who thinks it's Tidus. In fact, in English, that spelling IS pronounced Tidus, not Teedus. Go do some research on the subject before you just out right tell someone they are wrong. Lol
