Youngster always remember, MOST OF THE PEOPLE THAT MAKE COMMENTS ON HERE CAN'T AFFORD A LITTLE RED WAGON TO PULL THEIR BARBIE DOLLS AROUND IN. What people say on here has absolutely no bearing on your life. You keep doing what you do.
Mark, as someone who used to manage the back office of a very busy auto collision shop, I commend you on your work ethic and talent. Most of these people have absolutely no idea how hard this type of work is and wouldn’t last a week. Especially insurance jobs which are always under a time crunch. The Mustang looks amazing. Any minor hazing will be easy to remove in the final detail after the car is assembled. 👍
I think you are super talented and clearly detailed oriented. I only say this because I, myself learned this from an old school body man and painter. The booth prep is critical to final finish and less trash. Wet down the floor and clean that booth thoroughly. Wearing a 3M paper suit and full hood gear also is essential. Trash from street clothes and hair is always a factor. I’m sure you know all of this. But actually making it a habit for every paint job will pay off. Less time wasted on after painting sanding.
Matching…. People commenting on the paint don’t realize the camera plays tricks sometimes it enhances and sometimes just the opposite. I can tell if it looks that good on my screen it must look amazing in person. You did a great job! Keep it going!!!
Love both of you guys content! I have been team VTuned since jump and I have quickly become a fan of your as well. I'm sure you father is proud of both of you!!!
It’s cool seeing your videos . It’s nice seeing you and VTuned doing videos solo and not being about merchandise and giveaways… I’d rather learn than see guts all about the marketing.. I’m going to subscribe to your channel…
3:34 reminds me when I was a teen working in a restoration shop. I wasn't allowed anywhere NEAR the edges either.....(I blew through the edge 1 time...just once is all it took haha)
@@philtucker1224 no but I use the Hybrid Ceramic product post wash and am happy with it. It is hydrophobic and it keeps the car looking good and any light rain just beads off. Helps to keep the dust down as well. Last about a month but I wash my car every week anyway.
I agree with the previous comment. I detail for a living. Please don't take this the wrong way, but leave color sanding and buffing to a professional. Maybe Ben doesn't really care about what his car looks like, but if it leaves your shop it should be 100 percent. There's still a lot of trash in the paint and lots of haze. Your name is attached to that car, don't take short cuts.
I really like your channel. I have not gone back and looked at all of your previous videos yet but I would like to see some videos on refinishing / repainting rims. I think we have all seen people's rims who just gave them a lousy rustoleum rattle can paint job, which usually starts peeling off after about two years.
Mark outstanding job on the Mustang! It really pops! I am looking forward to seeing it all put together with your final detail! I bet it will be amazing!
Best Paint job Mark , you become a expert !!!! You could have take this of camera, but you show us some imperfections and did a complete finish of your paint job ant it turn out a car that is looking brand new !!
Mate I've been flipping cars for 20 years, I've sold cars that have been five different colours to my trained eye but the average buyer just sees shiny paint and thinks awesome, so just ignore comments that have no meaning in the real world. Keep it up Mark well done!
All in all it looks amazing, great job. Since we don’t get to hear about or see behind the scenes details I’d say a lot of your trash issues can be avoided by keeping the filters clean and thoroughly cleaning the floor before painting. Starting in a clean room might help alleviate trash issues.
Dude you and your brothers are amazing! I absolutely love your content. I did what you're doing for a long long time and what you're accomplishing at such a young age, with your knowledge and work ethics you're going to go far in life my friend. Can't wait till the next video.
Marc, after buffing down you apply a polish? Or maybe Ceramic? What’s your advice please? (I have a nice old Focus in Ford candy apple red tint) Vinny will love this car as his daily! 🙏👌👍
Nice job. I always finish with 3M 8000 grit Trizact and i use a DA. THEN buff. Crystal. But it looks great ! The decider is whether YOU are happy with it !
You know that people think blending paint is easy, but it's not. It's easy if you know even a person that knows sometimes has a hard trouble blending the paint.
Hey mate, do you know what's the go with Vtuned's old skool Frankenstein Mustang?? Is he going to continue the build or scrap it????? Cheers Huge fan from down under
That paint job is great and besides the trash, it looks better than new. If you want to see a crap paint job just look at those goonzsquads terrible paint job on the hellcat them rebuilt. They need to just have you or your brothers paint cars for them.
Still don't understand the amount of trash while using a booth. Never saw that before in such large amounts. Seems like the booth needs some work. I do see that the filters are plugged.
New paint should always look better than factory paint anybody that paints show cars will block it and spray it and block it and do paint. Correction factory paint is orange peel junk if you’re painting a car for someone the difference between shitty paint and good paint is the wet sanding and buffing, and if you don’t know how to make clear flat or not orange peel you gotta do a flowcoat and I don’t see you doing any flow cotes
Maybe it’s because I’m watching this on a 65 inch TV and other people are watching it on their phone but I would urge you to look at 16 minutes 57 seconds. There’s so much orange peel around the gas cap. It looks like somebody spray-painted this car that looks cloudy like you needed a couple more layers of basecoat, it’s all patchy and the bumper darker than the rest of the car
