But yes i do, absolutely love my life it’s been a long road to get here but it’s been worth it and has been a great journey!!! i normally have atleast a couple days a week open i hardly ever completely book up 100% but a few weeks in advance is normally a safe bet!

@@KeyWestWaterman Thank you for the response. I've been on a similar path with my career. But I've had some health issues. Had 3 surgeries in a year. Been slowly recovering just trying to get my health and strength back. I hope to be back to where I once was in the next few months. I've done well for myself before all this. But seeing where you are is inspiring. Don't ever take your health for granted. I really hope to get back to work soon and book a trip with you. It would be a huge deal for me. Until then I'll keep watching your videos. It gives me something to look forward to and keeps my spirits up. Looking forward to the next one! Glad I found your channel.

Captain Jack Spearo extremely cool sharks! But yes i did. He was gonna get the ol harpoon but they recently changed their minimum size to 83” he was probably only 70-75” tops.

yea we target them from time to time not a ton, never caught them that deep though, normally in 250-400'

yup, its definitely a thing, get a gps jammer fish and dive with your bottom machine. or lock up phones and smart watches. sad we even have to worry about that kind of stuff but its reality

I’ve gotten to the point where phones go in helm seat until there’s something to take pictures or videos of. Not sure where people lost the pure enjoyment and love for taking a trip on a charter boat but now it’s just take what you and the rest of us have worked so hard to find. Best of luck Capt! I am aware, I've had both side by side, and the mako was too short. They just recently increased the minimum size for makos!

I didn't really think about it you probably don't have an HMS permit it's all the swordfish and makos and stuff like that huh

I don't have a permit to sell sharks, but to keep recreationally the mako was too small they changed the regs. and yes I have an HMS they are required to harvest swordfish which is what we were doing that day.

@@KeyWestWaterman yeah I didn't know if you had the permit 2 keep them and sell them or if you were just catching them to catch them that's why I brought that up I work on a long line boat and I also buoy fish a lot and with the buoy permit we are not allowed to keep a Mako the hand gear permit doesn't allow was to keep anything except swordfish but on the online boat we have the HMS permit and we can keep them of course

@@KeyWestWaterman I've spoke to you before we used to keep the boat at Fishbusterz every once in awhile when we were long lining in the Gulf my boss sold the boat though now we just have the little boat with the hand gear permit and we only fish out front buoy fish daytime swordfish a lot you know before we put the buoy gear out and we do a lot of King fishing got it Kingfish permit as well on my boat
