Malcolm X : Boston Street Legends

Malcolm X first came to the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston in the early 1940's to stay with his half sister Ella. It was a life changing experience I detail his early struggles that led to a life of crime and depravity. Malcolm overcomes all these obstacles to be one the most important Americans of all time. #boston #malcomx #black #civilrights #islam #muslim

Thank you for posting this. Unfortunately these facts about Malcom X’s early life are not well known. I appreciate all the love (without any prejudice) that you pour into your post. You are a great storyteller, very natural ability to capture our attention. I agree that history always spoke of MLK, but never enough about Malcom X. We learned about Malcom X from our parents n stories told amongst our households. I heard about the “accidental” death of his father. But never in such great detail. I also heard about his mother spending her life in an institution, but again never knowing about the details that placed her there. Please continue to bring great content. I definitely appreciate all the research you put into before you post. The stories resonate with your heart n we feel it.

Malcolm was 6 years old when his father died in 1931. His mother was in and out of mental institutions. The Nation of Islam was founded in 1933 when Malcolm was 8. Impossible for Malcolm to have been a practicing Garveyite as the Garvey Movement was in decline during Malcolm's adolescent years. According to Malcolm's autobiography, he joined the 'Nation of Islam' in prison, not the Garvey Movement, which began his transformation, otherwise, he probably would have been lost to the streets even according to this video. Throughout his latter stay in Norfolk Prison, Malcolm maintained relations with his mentor, Elijah Muhammad, who also sent him money while in prison. DO YOUR RESEARCH!
@ButchBrown7
@ButchBrown7 3 месяца назад
@@KamalShariff Its good to see you really studied his biography that went in depth I saw a biography and assumed he carried the values of his mother & father who they said followed Marcus Garvey. I guess you made your point. I spoke in general terms about how many people in Harlem eventually making History Regardless. I made this post 4 months ago. It's ok to respond to a person's post it's how you're doing in in large Capital letters like you have to prove a point😂 Question are those in the NOI who have Children assumed to be Muslims? Dude, I apologize, I was not even purposefully directing that towards you you covered everything, bro. I'm talking about society as a whole. And the reason why we went backwards instead of forwards. If you understand what I mean by that. All of this manufactured racism where everyone is supposed to hate the white man. For some reason, I had nothing to do with any of the manufactured racism that are government has been forcing upon us to keep us separated and at each other's throats. For years, Malcolm x was a Beacon of light in that darkness and his teachings would have eventually brought us together. And they cannot have that my friend God forbid. We all came together and started focusing the attention and the light on their darkness. crooked a** corrupt government. can't lose their power. And they would have lost it all. That's what I meant by that comment. You did an excellent job, sir, you always do I love your videos. Keep them coming, they are delicious. God bless you, brother, keep your head. Fight the power.

Malcolm was 5 yrs old and was the only one in the family who believed it was foul play.....there was black witnesses on the trolly who saw what happened and that is why the insurance company refused to pay.

I totally agree it’s definitely going to happen within the next couple months. It’s a great story and while Albert DeSalvo took the rap for being the Boston Strangler most believe he didn’t do it. He was a serial rapist already in prison for life he wanted the notoriety and to make a little money. There is some false information in this video. It’s essentially a good video but some of the details given are factually inaccurate. Everyone in Malcolm‘s family didn’t believe their father was killed by the Klan, especially, his older brother Wilfred or his older sister Hilda. Secondly, Malcolm’s oldest sister, Ella Collins was not entirely an upstanding citizen. She had a scam going on herself using real estate in Boston. Her husband was in the streets and that’s where Malcolm learned a lot of the street maneuvers that he ended up doing, from Ella’s husband.

Sorry, no respect for x, or "Detroit Red." Lansing is not Detroit, far from it. Raised in a middleclass family, with advantages that even most white people didn't have at that time. Didn't want to serve in WW2, because he was "having fun" and selling drugs and had the ways and means coming from his middleclass family to get out of military service, which most black and white Americans didn't have and who served their country bravely during WW2, which was the reason the great president Harry Truman enacted the first Civil Rights legislation since the Civil War era, with the complete desegregation of the entire US military and the US Civil service. "Lansing Red" was selling drugs and having fun at that time, while the insanely cruel Japanese were slaughtering 60 million civilians in China and torturing and killing Allied POW's, and the Nazi's were slaughtering soldiers and civilians especially jews in death camps in Europe. The huge advance in the status of US blacks in the USA that began to happen after WW2 was because of the huge groundbreaking legislation of Trumans new civil rights legislation because of the brave service of black American soldiers during WW2 and black Christian ministers like Lansing Reds father, and MLK. And "x Lansing Red" had absolutely nothing to do with it.

@@jasontrimmins8264 All of the industrial manufacturing factory cities in southern Michigan were tough town's including my hometown Kalamazoo. But the economic crisis, a severe economic depression caused by the shutdown of auto factories mostly General Motors occurred in the mid 1970's, when most of the factories making autos or making products related to autos went out of business. Millions of people were put out of work permanently, and just left the state. It caused a catastrophic unemployment rate in Michigan. But the air and water pollution in Kalamazoo actually improved because most of the factories that were polluting the environment went out of business. The problem in Flint was worse because General Motors was the only big employer there and the shutdowns of GM plants put almost everyone in Flint out of work. Yes, Ann Arbor is basically just the campus of the University of Michigan.

The narrator could have said when Earl met his wife he thought she was the most beautiful woman he had ever met, fell in love instantly with her exotic frame and West Indian accent....But, instead all that was reported only 1 minute into the video was "Earl loved pork and she didn't make him any." I know it was in the book, but it wasn't on the first fkn page. I watched a documentary on the Roosevelt family and you wouldn't think FDR and Eleanor ever had a problem as a couple a day in their life. Just because black people are obsessed with toxicity doesn't mean you have to feed it to them all at once. Malcolm x was intelligent but lacked wisdom. Because, why would he bring children into a world he knew was corrupt and would never change for the better. Unwise. His father was killed, mother put in a insane asylum, foster home, jailed etc. He caused so much pain to his children. At least 5 of the 6 kids he did have capitalized off of his stupidity by not bringing children into the world. If he didn't create children his wife wouldn't had experience death rather accidentally or not by the hand of his grandson. Malcolm X if he really loved us as he said he did, he would of told us not to bring children into cruel world. He himself with his family history should of taught black ppl to be antinatalist. Thus, thier problems would have been resolved. His legacy should be frowned upon and not celebrated bc of the sorrow he brought on his ppl esp his own children. 0 stars for Malcolm X.
