I have seen this video a hundred times if not more and it always feels the same, just a complete performance from the top tier vocalists and immortal songs are all covers not even their own songs and they do it that well. Mamamoo is also known for turning any appearance into what feels like a mamamoo concert, even if the event isnt just them. As for live, I saw them in LA back in June they really do sound like that live, it seems impossible and they do put on performances like that as well. There is something more to them, than a typical group in any country, few can put on a concert and years later the video of that concert has the impact it has.
I've listened to this performance a hundred times and still get chills during Way to Sampo. Mamamoo passed my previous favorite girl group last year in terms of songs saved... I have 43 Andrews Sisters songs saved... I'm up to 50+ from Mamamoo. The only people still ahead of them are individual men and one orchestra, Mantovani. I have 100+ songs saved from Jerry Vale. I have at least 20 Mantovani albums, so that's around 200 songs, minus duplicates. Girl's Day was another four member girl group with great singing and great songs. You might want to give them a listen. They had three big hits, Expect, Something, and Female President. The last was the first K-Pop song I ever liked, and still my favorite. It ROCKS. Girl's Day's individual B sides were uploaded to RU-vid this January, nine years late, but oh well. I've already found TEN new songs I like from them.
neon, you will see solar at another level of vocals and emotional power on her live studio singing: " bluebird" its just solar sitting on a chair and singing...her tamber in her voice on this song is absolutely beautiful. Its everything you love about her. I hope you can react to it as its not reacted much to reactors as most just watch main tracks on albums.
This is From their 2017 concert, named ‘Mamamoo Concert Moosical: Curtain Call’ they picked their version of the songs they sang during the show "IMMORTAL SONGS", performing an Eleven-Minute long medley in the middle of a Four-Hour long concert. Solar wasn't happy with the last Belt, because she had to stop moving to complete it... Crazy woman, Love Her.
I cried through the first 2 songs, because I couldn't believe they were really in front of me. I never in my life thought I would actually get to see them perform live. It's one of the happiest moments of my life. My husband, who only knew of them from me talking about them, went with me. By the time we left, he was a "baby Moomoo". He was so blown away by their live vocals, and just how damn good they are as artists. He couldn't believe it. He said it didn't matter that he didn't understand the language, then on top of it, their stage presence was so spectacular that he had one of the best nights of his life, right along side of me.
I don't know if it's the sort of thing you like but you may want to watch a guide at this point to get to know the members as people. They are all awesome individuals in ways besides being great vocalists. My favorite is the Purple Hawk one (probably the best edited guide you'll ever watch). The Moo_YT is also very good and is more up to date. 2022 vs 2019. Purple Hawk spends an hour on the 4 members and Moo_YT does the members in half an hour and the group in half an hour.
