The Mamod is looking really great Ade. I do like the wheels in black, with the brass caps. I just bought an old Mamod Minor. Shown in my last video. Only doing a minor tidy up to it. Keep up the good work Ade. Cheers Nobby
Great Series turning a toy as such to a scale model are you going to try pin stripe the black body work or a brass name plate for added detail, just a thought.
@@ade63dug I have the steam roller also. I fired it up to run and the smoke box fell off. It had been drilled wrong at the factory and the holes did not line up with the boiler so the pop rivets did not hold. Another project for me.
@@ade63dug I have the rivets. The original rivets on my roller are 3/32''. The problem is that the original rivets are drilled in the wrong place so I need to deal with extra holes in the smokebox.
Not into models, etc, but that's a nice-looking engine. I'm here for your lathe/machining expertise, and the upgrades added to the engine are definitely doing it justice. ❤
Cool. I think it is difficult to find something new to show. sometimes these little projects can bring a few new tricks to mind . Just mixing it up . Cheers Ade.
Looking really nice. My question is now that you’ve put rubber tires on how are you going to transfer the drive from the flywheel to the rear wheel. From memory there should be a groove machined in the flywheel to match the groove in the rear wheel and a tightly wound spring around both the wheel and flywheel. Good luck, love your videos. 👍🏻
