My grandmother's best friend, my dad's mother I mean, hired him to do contracting services several times. My grandmother would be FURIOUS about the way that he's been treated after the last time!!! This woman came back MONTHS LATER with a supposed issue and he agreed to return. Just a few days before he was supposed to, she filled all sorts of complaints against him that went nowhere, demanded increasingly ludicrous amounts of money, suddenly texted him to come back and finish the job after MONTHS of that, disappeared for a couple of years and then suddenly sued him over it!!! However, we're not sure if it's her or her family this time because she recently greeted him with a hug when they ran into each other and she gives my mom a friendly honk of the horn when she drives by. We think that she probably let it go in the end and that her kid who was pressing the issue before might be doing this behind her back now.

Yet, if it's true she came asking for the money during the funeral, I would be pissed too.

That's what I meant by "mother's estate". My comment was more directed at those whose kin wouldn't cover the debt.

That’s what I was thinking too. I know my mom had All kinda of debit and if that fell on me I’d be paying it back for the rest of my life. My mom didn’t have anything and didn’t leave anything.

But his mom left him money though. If she didn’t leave anything then I would say judge judy is wrong because it would be unfair for them to pay their mother’s death BUT the mother left them HER money so they can use HER money to pay of HER debt

The money is the planiff's, not funds she owed to the decreased in payment of a debt.
