The messages here remind me of other things I've heard too - that "successful" people and couples are able to get through anything because they have the shared belief that everything is solvable. And another similar belief is that "ideas trump problems" ie if we can just face our problems and think creatively / think of solutions, we will find them.
Jonathan: I grow old and you don't. Me: Now let's take some time and feel sympathy for men with beautiful wives, they need it.(Please note the sarcasm.)
Any tips for establishing rituals as a couple when your schedules just don't mesh up? Dinner time used to be our time. We'd watch a show together while we ate and do a running commentary and just bond. Since having our first child, dinner can't be our time anymore, and most of the time that our daughter is in bed, my husband is out for the evening working his second part-time job. We just don't connect and de-stress like we used to.
Jono & Alicia I have a question that I really, really need answered and I can't seem to find it anywhere online. Is it possible to be a Healer/Closer as your two dominant personality types? Because I really feel like that's what I am and it's causing issues :(
@@samantham.8265 that's so interesting! INTJ is more like Closer and INFP is more like Healer, so no wonder there's been confusion 😆 I alternate between ENFP and ENFJ: as an artist I'm more P and as an educator/activist I'm more J. I wonder if you similarly resonate with different personality aspects in different contexts
