We can use atar ruti or luchi also instead of loaf spreaded with butter.I think the taste of butter can disturb the aroma of mangsher ghugni.Moreover it's heavy to digest butter and mutton at a time.

I thought ghugni meant white peas. Never knew chole/ kabuli chana could also pass off as ghugni. Must say that I like your vids a lot. Beautifully made.

Amra ghugni te white/yellow motor(peas) di. Chickpea is for chole. Duto alada .. ur variation looks good too though. Eta Dashmi r bikeler jolkhabar chilo choto belar. Mutton diye ghugni amar ma khub banae, it's like something I am used to. Dekhe abar khete icche korche 😋😋. Btw, tomader korai ta amar didun er kotha mone koriye dilo. Amar didun er ei rokom korai chilo and she used to make luchis and sada aloo chorchori for me every Sunday. Tomra seriously tomader rannar moddhe diye amader mone ekta boro jaega kore niyecho. Agree with Susmita. If you must use keema, use the coarsely hand-chopped ones you get from a proper butcher shop. The machine-ground keema is best avoided for this recipe because it will become more like a chili con carne in texture than ghugni. Of course, this is all nitpicking-even that will taste very, very good.
here i am sitting in a far away land and having sad pizzas. Ghugni was a taken for granted sanck/ breakfast/ dinner item and now i miss it especially with the mutton
Dada bapok hoyeche. However I would suggest to also add some chorbi during koshani... Or the rogan you guys had saved 😁 in a jar I think that would take this recipe to another levels.
