Heavy is using the shotgun instead of minigun Demoman is not laying down any stickies Scout is using the Sandman Medic is using the syringe gun instead of healing anybody Engineer is not putting down Sentry, dispenser or Teleporter Soldier is using the stock Rocket launcher. For anyone who wondered why this video has both teams fighting the robots, but in the final game it's only RED, apparently the testers kept trying to shoot their own teammates who were the same color as the bots.

I could be COMPLETELY overthinking this, but at 1:16 when Blu Medic walks out next to Red Scout, both of them give each other a side eye and keep it there for a few seconds, just to see if both teams are really one for now. Love it

What I love the most is that the 6 six classes featured is accurate to what an mvm team would be today, medic for healing, scout for money, demo for stickies, soldier for banners, engi for sentries, and heavy for damage

Other than the irony, it’s so perfect. Everything encapsulates the characters personality so much.

Small detail i noticed at 2:01 As each robot is starting up, you can hear the sounds of different engines cranking up, as if each robot required a different motor for each of them. I like how much depth was put into this trailer, even viewing it 10 years later.

Fun fact heavy, scout, engineer, soldier, medic and demo man they knew the bot invasion was coming and they stood there ground for as possible but eventually they got over ran by bots and then the bots took over the casual servers.

So for anyone wondering, this video is actually canonically a (mostly) accurate representation of what was going on with the mercs at the time gray mann invaded. Pyro, spy, and sniper werent there at the start because pyro was running a very successful company, spy was off doing spy things, and sniper was searching for his real parents. Also, Heavy didnt have his minigun because Mann co. shut down, he gets it back later tho. Im fairly sure this is accurate, but correct me if i missed something.

The mercs charging at the seamingly endless army of machines is one of the most coldest & badass moments in gaming history.

I will never forget being a kid and waiting for MVM to launch the amount of hype and excitement every tf2 player had it was like Christmas we were all so ready to kick robot ass especially after launching a badass trailer like this tf2 is immortal

I love how there’s this intense badass buildup to show how things are serious now, things are intense and real, gone are the goofy days of Redmond and Blutarch, now we have an actual VILLAIN-villain with the resources and army to end the world… When canonically they proceeded to effortlessly kick the robot asses for years, very nearly driving Gray bankrupt (since he refused to use a power source for the robots other than money)

I remember being super hyped for this mode back in the day. Especially with the reveal of the giant robot.
