Colossians two is one of the most important passages of scripture in holy writ. The Greek word Sabbaton is the weekly Sabbath given to escaped Hebrew slaves. It was the sign of the old, tired, weak, and obsolete covenant between Israelites and God. Christians live by the Spirit in the new covenant as new creations in Christ.

As a highly qualified physician (MD, MPH, board-certified Internal Medicine, Cardiology Fellowship) I am in awe that this woman with 3 grades of education (after a serious injury as a child) could write so well on health and induce others to do well so that SDAs live about 7 years longer than other non-smoking groups and Loma LInda University got $40 million from NIH to learn why or how they lived longer. It was Ellen White's writings. To say she was lying is a gross misunderstanding with shallow research. She didn't claim to be a prophet, but she saw and described 9-11 in Vol 9, pgs 11-14 of Testimonies for the Church a century before it happened. She said we should base our faith on Scripture.

I have read a lot of Ellen white books, they don’t contradict the bible, she said her books are the little light, leading to the bigger light which is the bible. Reading her books have helped me to understand the scriptures, but she states the bible is the word of God and is the first book, her books are helpful to understand things in the bible that’s difficult. I also say she is no false prophetess.

He also said that Ellen White predicted that Jesus would return and, he did not come. I want that guy to show me where she ever wrote this. I want to see where she ever predicted that Christ would return at a certain time. EGW claimed at one convention meeting where she was present that Christ would return in the lifetime of a few of the attendees. The youngest person at that convention, a 3 year old died in the 1950s. SDAs explain away that failed prophecy claiming it was a conditional prophecy like a couple of conditional prophecies in the Old Testament. Notice the words recorded by Jeremiah: "At one moment I may declare concerning a nation or a kingdom, that I will pluck up and break down and destroy it, but if that nation, concerning which I have spoken, turns from its evil, I will change my mind about the disaster that I intended to bring on it. And at another moment I may declare concerning a nation or a kingdom that I will build and plant it, but if it does evil in my sight, not listening to my voice, then I will change my mind about the good that I had intended to do to it.” Jer. 18:7-10 (NRSV). The Bible presents a number of illustrations of the application of this principle set forth by Jeremiah. We base everything on scripture. Ellen White never called herself a prophet. Most of what this bishop said about her isn't true. He did get her name right. She herself said to never take her word over the Bible. We teach that no one should ever take her word over the Bible. I didn't even read her book for the first 30 years of being an SDA. In fact, I just started reading them to see what was in them 50+ years later. I do find her books wonderful to read, but again, I'd never take it over the Bible. So what is the problem? SDA worship on the 7th Day Saturday. The Sabbath Commandment says the 7th Day is the Sabbath. The Catholic Church in the year 336AD transferred the “Sacred Emphasis” from the 7th Day to the 1st. So the Sabbath is Saturday the catholic “sabbath” SUNDAY is the same day that ancient Romans worshipped the SUN not the SON! The Catholic Church was originally called the “Roman Catholic Church”. Coincidence? I think NOT! The real question is why do most Protestant Churches still worship on the Catholic sabbath? Freedom of religion in the US allows the Catholic Church & all the Protestant Churches to worship on the first day of the week but the Bible still confirms Saturday is the real Sabbath.

It is not helpful to correct the misconceptions that leader of other denominations have about the SDA beliefs. It will only harden them since they cannot change their beliefs without being attacked by their own members. It will be too embarrasing for them to acknowledge their own false erronious beliefs in front of their congregations. They will attack the SDA-church much harder.

If any one uses Colossians 2 to condemn the 7th day sabbath, then the fellow doesn't understand Paul's writing. He was fully talking about ceremonies and sabbath on certain ceremonial days not The Exodus 20 vs 1 to 17, 7th day sabbath. God and His laws cannot be changed 🙏

I believe you need to have a deeper study on Col.2 and Lev 23. Please use your concordance and look up the meanings of the words used. The 7th day Sabbath is the 1st of all the Feasts of God. Then Unleavened bread, first fruits, Pentecost, Trumpets, Atonement, Tabernacles and the last great day. All still applicable.

This message is for those who do not understand what is coming: Do you remember 4 years ago when we had a "worldwide pandemic" how just about all businesses were shut down, how some of your rights were taken away? Initially, you could not choose to not receive the covid shot; it was mandatory whether you were against it or not. You had your rights taken away when you were told to wear a mask even if you were not sick. Some of you were fired from your job if you refused the elixir, some were suspended from work for not going to get a PCR test every week. I was one of those individuals. Not even some of our local pastors were on our side. We were alone, so we thought for a moment, but God was with us. We were not given a choice to get a religious or medical exemption in the beginning but praise God, He heard our prayers and opened the way for those who wanted a religious exemption. When it becomes law that Sunday will be the official day of worship that all must obey and observe, then and only then will you be forced to choose who you will obey, God or man. When you choose to obey God you will receive the seal of God; when you choose to follow the traditions and the laws of man, when it comes to your salvation, it is then you will receive the Mark of the Beast. Those who receive the Mark of the Beast in the forehead, (the area where you think and make decisions) will accept it because they believe that Sunday IS the day of worship and they would have rejected the Sabbath of the 4th commandment fully. Those who receive it in the hand will be because they would rather go along with the law even though they know the truth, but would rather go along to get along and to be able to eat and live securely in their comfortable homes. The Apostles were also disappointed when Christ died, as they had preconceived ideas about God's kingdom destroying Rome at that time. Does that make them liars? EG White did not claim to be a prophetess, nor did she come up with the doctrine of the Sabbath, or any doctrine for that matter. Nor was Miller a 7th Day Adventist. If you read the chapter in Colossians that this bishop is preaching about, you will discover that it is talking about the sacrificial law system which included sabbath days during each feast - NOT THE 7th DAY SABBATH. These feast sabbaths were a shadow of Christ. The 7th day Sabbath was given at creation BEFORE SIN, it was not included in the plan of salvation, so it was not a shadow of things to come, other than maybe the Sabbath Millennium, but this is debatable

Also, If you look at vs 14 it talkes about the handwriting of requirements that were against us, that were nailed to the cross with Christ. Then go to Deuteronomy 31 and read 24-25 it talks about the writing that was a witness against them - The Mosaic law. People confuse the 10 commandments with the Mosaic law. But the 10 commandment were written by God on stone and placed INSIDE the ark of the covenant (that represented God's throne - or the law God governs by) But the Mosaic law was added because of transgression. Moses wrote it down, and it was placed BESIDE the ark of the covenant - as a witness against them. God bless

Definitely he is incorrect, however the SDA has been corrupted from with in. Many false Pastors that are in church just for their salaries and not take caring the members. This is happening all over the world. That's why name of church is important but must importantly is The Message.
SDA’s worship on the Sabbath because Jesus in the Holy Bible tells us in the fourth Commandment “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy” Exodus 20: 8 (KJV) we are faithful Bible believing Protestant Christians. Ellen G White did not profess to be a prophetess, and before her writings were accepted by the SDA Church her work went through rigorous testings. In John 15:18 (KJV) Jesus says “If the world hates you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you” Blessings 🙏🏾
The Adventists claim *the law written and engraved in stone,* called the law of *"Condemnation and DEATH"* (2Cor.3:6-9) is "NOT AGAINST" the person who breaks the Sabbath. *Even worse, the SDA claims that the law of death and condemnation written in stone is the law of Liberty!!* The Adventists say, *"the 10 Commandments are not the law of SIN AND DEATH"* EVEN ELLEN G. WHITE AND ADVENTISTS FUNDAMENTALS ADMITS IT IS! Exodus 31:14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: *every one that defileth it shall surely be put to DEATH:* for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. 15 Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord: whosoever doeth ANY work in the sabbath day, *he shall surely be put to DEATH.* The Sabbath commandment stood as a *"WITNESS" AGAINST THE TRANSGRESSORS!* Here's what Ellen G. From the OUTER SURFACE, Ex-Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel (Robert Shlimon, both 1970) seems to be the Champion of CHRISTIANITY... however, if you take a closer look/search into his teachings, most of them do not align with the Biblical TRUTH without compromise... The Bible commanded us Christians, "Do not believe every SPIRIT, but TEST every Spirit to know whether they are from God or NOT."... (ref. 1 John 4)... Praise be to God in Christ... Amen.
As an SDA, I’ve met extremist who considers themselves Adventist. But they’re not SDA. Often, they appear at church service and hand out their flyers or disrupt our service claiming that SDA’s are false Adventist. I’m sure you’ve ran into them. They always show up at camp meetings. Have you listened to them? Ellen white is Gospel to them and equal to the Bible. Do you think non-SDA peoples know the difference? We SDA’s have a lot of work to do and not much time left. Let us be Christ-like and remember that we are the salt of the earth and the let Christ light shine through us to all of God’s children
I don't believe that a true Adventist takes Elen G White's writings greater than the Bible, it seems most people do not understand the Bible including Elen White... I suggest take your time to read the Bible read what the chapter talks about to listen to the whole context rather than isolating just one verse like what the bishop did there
Notice this pastor never quoted anything from her books for any of his so called accusations especially the one where she supposedly said she would be alive when Jesus would return. I have never heard of such a things in any of her writings.
Whenever Mrs. White says "I was shown" we know this to indicate she was in vision by the Holy Spirit. I myself have never read that what this man proposed. I have searched, not found. If that was indicated by her, could have been speaking figuratively. Many years ago, before some SDA churches rarely spoke on the 3 angels messages; Those SDA Giants, spoke of a "Special Resurrection" all those who have died under the 3 angels messages. I love how he talks about Paul and Colossians chapter 2. You obviously has no idea what Paul is even talking about. He obviously did not read the chapter. Paul is addressing the new Christian Gentiles and telling them not to let the new Jewish Christians tell them that they had to obey the law of Moses. He mentions Sabbath days, days, with an “S” This is not referring to the Seventh-Day sabbath. It’s referring to keeping feast days. The Israelites under the mosaic law that pointed to Jesus, were required to keep sacrificial and ceremonial days like they would keep the 7th day sabbath. Meaning that during these periods of feast, they were too put away work for a certain period of days. The mosaic laws were the handwritten laws, written by Moses on Mount Sinai, given to him by the Lord. They were written in a book and tucked into a pocket on the outside of the ark, the 10 Commandments were put on the inside of the ark. They were to be obeyed by the Israelites along with the 10 Commandments, however; when Jesus Christ came, there was no need for the mosaic law it had been fulfilled by Jesus Christ. This is the law that Jesus Christ claims to have fulfilled. Jesus Christ kept the 10 Commandments to show the universe that God’s law was fair and just. He kept the 10 Commandments to show that they could be kept. He said that not one jot or tittle will by any means pass away from the law, heaven and earth will pass away before the law does. He’s talking about the 10 Commandments.
Also, Col. 2: 16 says Sabbath days. It's not talking about the Seventh-day Sabbath. There were other Sabbaths. The Seventh-day Sabbath is from the beginning and is a part of the Moral Law. God's Moral Law us Eternal as He is. Ellen G. White was not the only one who thought that Jesus was coming in her time. The deciples thought that Jesus would come in their time as well.
Also, as all Christians pray through Christ Jesus, because He is the redeemer of the world, it was on Sunday that He won this victory for the world but on Saturday He was a dead person. So why do you worship God on the day that He (taking human form to die for us) was dead in tomb? All His followers were in gloom on Saturday but only those against Him were temporary glad amidst fear of His resurrection as He had said. His true followers became joyous only from the Sunday when He resurrected. I strongly agree with Mari that Ellen White in my view, possibly had an issue taken for granted if she said what is said of her. For a lie to pass test of time, it has to be alloyed with some baits of truth, and such has been the plan of the devil. Second temptation of Jesus by the devil in the wilderness. The man needs to read and interpret the Bible correctly, there were the sabbaths which were ceremonies pointing to Christ the lamb slain, hence when Christ fulfilled them, we aren't obliged to keep them anymore. But then there's the 7th day Sabbath which is a commandment which GOD in declaring states “Remember” - Exodus 20:8-11 meaning it was already there and He knew man would forget- Genesis 2:1-3, moreover it shall be kept in heaven and new earth- Isaiah 66:23 Jesus Christ- the LORD of the Sabbath kept it- Luke 4:16, How clearer can the Bible be?? 💯🙏🏾
Feel sorry for this person who thinks he's following Jesus and sda are not. He said he's not judging but he is 😊. He wares a cross and carry one in his hand not sure why? No outward display gives proof you're a true fòllower of Christ. Pray for these men and the people who are following them that God will lead them to the truth 🙏
E.G.White did not say she is a prophet but rather considers herself to be a messenger of God.This man also lied against Ellen G.White saying that she said she would be alive till Christ returns again. Now hear what she says "but my strength is yet spared, and I hope to continue to do much useful work. I may live until the coming of the lord; but if I should not, i trust it may be said of me,'blessed are the dead which die in the lord from hence forth: yea, saith the spirit, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them", in the spirit of prophecy treasure chest page 138.
What the Bishop is actually true, cause I grew up in SDA community. The members of the SDA in our community are seeing us that worship on Sunday according to their prophetess, mark of beast in going to come through Sunday worshippers, and also, said every one worshipping on Sunday, is worshipping the sun God.
