Great to see this. Ratatouille is a dish that i have vomit-inducing memories off as a kid. Visions of it coming out a can or being watery, sloppy and full of seeds. This is everything the opposite. Inspired to try to see if my appetite changes!
I so can relate to this (apart from the vomit part). Ratatouille from can served at school on the left, ratatouille cooked by my mother on the right 😂 Two different dishes... Home cooked ratatouille are a symphony of tastes and can be used with everything from fish to red meat if hot, used as starter on a toasted slice of good bread if cold. Wish you the best!
Gordon Ramsey quit from one of MPWs restaurants because of "the rages and the bullying and violence". That tells you how much of a badass Marco was. I guess butter has mellowed him.
Never seen ratatouille done so simply. Reminds me a lot of a southern succotash down here. Also goes to show the influence of southern French food on American food.
I like Marco but he’s a bit much with the concrete rules. It’s about preference. The beauty of cooking is that you don’t need to be so rigid when cooking at home. Experiment and see what you prefer.
I don't see a rat directing the chef. Such scandal will never be forgiven. And don't tell me he's under the hat. They should have a dang 'hat rat cam' to give us the action. 0/10 much dissappoint.
White has among the most impressive careers in gastronomy in human history, it'd be understating the case considerably to say that you can probably trust his judgement in regards to cooking veg. If he tells you to fry the veg, fry the veg. But then again it's your choice.
I was only half interested in this until he whipped out the deep fryer. Have not seem that In a recipe like this before and I bet it gives them amazing texture.
