@airpodsmurf6175 Amber said she can't be part of Mark world It sounds like a breakup. Way, this pace is with the comics mark, and Amber should have broken up by now Update: a Actually, Amber broke up early compared to the comic Cause this scene would have been where eve kiss mark while he was still dating Amber after Mark fought. Levy, I'm glad they changed this cause I felt like be some backlash on the Mark and Eve ship
I can understand why people would be upset that Mark didn't tell Eve in this scene, but it makes sense, and it's ultimately ultimately the best for their relationship moving forward. He just broke up with Amber; he's still too emotionally raw from the fight with Levy and everything that came from it; the last thing he needs right now is to bring more baggage into things. What Mark needs right now, and Eve thankfully provides, is a friend who is there for him, who lets him know that it's okay to hurt and that he doesn't deserve the awful things that have happened to him. And that foundation of simple, unconditional care is the mortar of their relationship going forward. The seeds of romance are often best sown in the soil of friendship, and while such a process may take a while to bring about a bloom, the flower will likely live longer and be all the more beautiful for it.
"The seeds of romance are often best sown in the soil of friendship". Christ, that's a good line! I'm gonna use it--or at the very least reword it--at some point in some of my own writings (aka, stories I make up in my head).
As excited as I am to see their relationship develop, it makes perfect sense to me that he doesn't tell her just yet. He just barely ended things with Amber, and he also is just not in a good head space right now. It seems perfectly reasonably for him to take a bit of time before moving on.
That and honestly, getting told by older/alternate Eve that she actually loves him was kind of a blow out of nowhere on top of everything happening. No hate to alternate eve at all, she didn’t like also traumatize him but you gotta admit it did probably put some extra weight on him.
@@tanucreate I can understand why future Eve would say that, but it also feel's like a breach of present Eve's personal feelings, from someone who had nothing to lose. A heavy weight to put on Mark - and not he's got this awkward thing on his mind there's not exactly a natural way to bring up.
@@doukyuuseii99 Also she can totally tell Mark feels the same way she feels about him and if things weren't so nuts right now he'd confess. Thus she just needs to be patient.
I don't know why, but when Eve consoles Mark and he leans into her, it gets me...and that ending shot, with the blues and the pinks...it's just so beautiful.
0:09 If you look closely, you can see that upon eve's hug, mark had his eyes glared in shock, maybe because he felt his heart throbbed or felt like he needed it. This scene is truly amazing considering the little emotional details
In many ways, tragedy of their relationship comes from an irony that both of them know they are perfect for each other, and both of them are too scared from that perfection.
The way she realizes thats him flying towards her she immediately dives herself towards him with that “where have you’ve been I miss you” hug is absolutely beautiful
the beautiful thing about them is how eve is always there for mark. she loves him so much, even before she even thought that he might be interested in her she was always there for him as a friend. she is such a great character I really can’t wait for season 3
The amount of times ive watched this scene is unhealthy Really just so beautiful Exactly what mark needed at that time I hope we see more of this in s3
From what I've read it looks like they're doing the end of this season and season 3 in one hit, meaning we're probably going to see more episodes within the year. Can't wait to see the absolute destruction of the Invincible War and the fight with Conquest.
@@abstract5249 When Mark was in Thraxa, every hero on Earth who fought Omnipotus nearly died according to Cecil, the Guardians and the other heroes are nothing compared to Mark.
This scene is so heartwarming, while also being so heartbreaking. The repeated line "you don't deserve this" really chokes me up. Mark does not deserve the trauma and pain he's been through, but he also likely feels he doesn't deserve the happiness she could potentially provide. He's immensely guilt ridden for killing Angstrom and he maybe sees that as him becoming the worst parts of his dad. He probably feels unworthy of compassion. Mark can't catch a break man 😓
Future/alternate Eve basically made mark realize he maybe does have feelings for eve. I think they’re handling it really well too, it definitely wouldn’t make sense to have them get together instantly. I also like how they’re portraying mark not rejecting the idea at all, just not being ready for it. He leans into her comfort, and he says “it’s nothing” instead of going the route of saying that he doesn’t have any feelings for her and possibly pushing her away. The little hand touch. They’re doing this relationship really well in its beginning stages
I’m loving this development and it was done way better and more organically than how it was done in the comics. From what I can remember, in the comics, Amber and Mark were still together at that point when future Eve confessed to Mark. Eventually it culminated to Mark going to Eve and kissing her after he got into an argument with Amber and it felt so disingenuous to both Mark and Eve’s characters
FR relationships are being handled much more maturely in the show which gives me hope for the future coz eve took a massive l during the time skip when she smashed telia's brother. granted it was after 4 years but it was out of character. that was the only l after they started dating
@AmusedCoffee-ym3gb they've changed a lot from the comics, like I doubt Nolan will be took back by Debbie. He's changed but I seriously doubt it will happen.
I can tell that he does love her as a true friend But he still needs some time to figure out that he’s really In love with her and they still need more time to develop they’re relationship and love feelings for each other
Considering everything Eve herself has been through, it makes sense that she’d empathize with Mark as much as she does. They’re honestly perfect for each other, be they a couple or friends or a sort of _loser, baby_ kinda thing like Husk and Angel Dust (top G’s get what I’m talking about)
Eve in the series is the best character!! She’s an incredible girl friend, she has her patience but she’s never annoying! She does reach her limit with Mark, as Mark gets extremely impulsive in the future but she’s almost flawless in the source material..
@@FinleiButler That is over. Even if he still does love Amber, its not like she’s gonna go back to Mark. She got a bunch of trauma from Anissa, and she realized that she can’t spend time with Mark because either her life would be at stake or she would be left in the middle of a mall just when they would be having fun. It wouldn’t work out, and I think Mark understands this too.
This scene proves that Eve is a ride or die material. She’s super perfect for him, not like Amber who dumps everything onto Mark and make everything emotionally worse.
Amber is good in season 2. It was in season 1 that she was being unreasonable and toxic to Mark. In season 2 she reformed herself, it just happened that she can't live a couple's life with a superhero who is being demanded by both the United States government and a malevolent interestelar empire.
Amber isn't necessarily bad, she is just an ordinary person with her own needs. A relationship can only truly work if both parties got something and Amber didn't get support when she needs it the most and mark too, she ain't bad she isn't meant for him is all
@@sriramramesh8203 Just glad they’re done ngl, cus they have no commitments whatsoever. He’s a superhero, and she’s an ordinary college girl. Mark can’t risk her being into his world, it’s dangerous. Plus all Amber might do is complain, which scares Mark.
She absolutely loves Mark, while I’m a huge fan of the comics sometimes they’d gloss over just how much Mark has been through, people have been saying season two sucked and that couldn’t be further from the truth. The split for season two was what killed the hype. However seeing Mark really come to terms with everything was heartbreaking. He’s not confident in his abilities to protect the people he cares about and now there’s Eve who he liked initially. He’s in a bad mental place and the worst is yet to come. I’m glad she’s there for him
Although I don’t think Season 2 is as strong as Season 1, it’s still a solid season, thanks to it covering the aftermath of Nolan’s destruction, and the trauma Mark and Debbie endured. Mark needs all the therapy he can get.
It felt like a good decision though, he literally just break up, it will be so weird if just the next day he said "I love you", and he knows she loves him so he can take things slowly
No, he’s in love with Eve. He’s been in love with Eve for a good minute but hasn’t confronted her about it. He just needs some mental recovery and the space to let everything blossom overtime.
@@megaman37456 when you have a mutual break up with someone or even one thats not mutual, that you really care about, you don't just stop caring about them.
I'm pretty sure the reason why Mark didn't confess to Eve was because he isn't in the right mindset right now. I mean, seriously, he literally killed someone a few hours ago.
-Mark is not rushing into starting a relationship with Eve and not telling her what he knows from her alternate future counterpart. -Eve understands Mark is not in the best mental state to talk too much about his trauma and simply being the shoulder Mark needs. These are just stepping stones to their blossoming romance and testaments to how healthy their relationship is and will be even in the future.
This is why Eve is the best. Rather than saying things like "You can get thru this" or "Best strong next time" or "It will be ok" She said "He didnt deserve this" The thing is. You can expect this situations to happen the way it happen but almost no one will comfort heroes to say that its not fair or they dont deserve what happens to them. That line, tells Mark he can breakdown on her shoulder and cry about what happened rather than be tough and face it. We all need a break
What I like most about Eve It's just that she tells him something that neither Cecil nor his mother told him: You don't deserve this. Implying that SHE IS THE ONLY ONE who understands The feelings Mark has since getting his powers. I can't wait for the new suit, I can't wait for the new season, and I can't wait for The Conquest
I normally don't feel bad for characters in tv shows but i feel so bad for Mark he's a good kid with a big heart yet he experienced so much trauma😢the boy just needs a hug and some peace
He want to tell Eve that he "doesnt" love her ( at that moment), not the other way around, remmember he just break up with Amber . But he chose not to say it ; good choice because he will develop the love interest with her later on.
Makes sense as to why they chose to not have Mark and Eve get together for the end of Season 2, would have felt jarring/rushed. That being said, the very likely Season 3 finale is very important for Mark and Eve's relationship, wonder how they'll play it out. Doubly so since Season 3 should have 3-4 major events/arcs from the comics as opposed to the slower pace of Season 2.
If Mark confessed his love or budding love for Eve at this point it would have been bad even though Eve secretly loves Mark here. Mark needs time to process his breakup and everything that is going on in this moment and Eve is aware of that. Mark has the gift of hindsight he knows Eve loves him and from what we seen him not saying anything won’t ruin that. when he’s ready he can decide and Eve will be waiting for him.
Your title is so stupid and wrong 😂he doesnt fail, he just isnt sure and decides not to, since it could literally just have been a multiverse eve that confessed
