Mark Sievers Trial Day 3 - Curtis Wayne Wright - Cooperating Co-defendant Part 4 & Annie Lisa - Victim's Sister #MarkSievers #MarkSieversTrial #SieversTrial
This attorney may as well have taken marks money and then called in sick every day of the trial. Hes fully aware hes not defending him. Hes just " running the clock down"
@@jeslinar @jesus linares It is very sad, that most people judge someone BEFORE it is proven in a duly constituted court of law; in front of a group of one's peers (Jury). Oh well. Also, the hurt the mother went through is no greater than most who were hurt by this horrible death. "Jesus is not a respecter of persons." Finally: the dead person was an accused "adulterer"; AND accused of "trying to take the suspects daughters from him"; is a thousand times worse than adultery and being killed horribly in the eyes of Jesus. Although MOST women GET the kids. Sad, sad SAD! IN-justice if there ever was one.
Mr Wright wants to protect his wife Angie, the woman he loves; yet he willingly and without a second thought, murdered another mans wife. Loads of swear words are going off in my head. If I could put my hands through the screen, I'd punch him on the nose
I think the main issue the defense attorney is up against is how patently obvious it is that Wright is telling the truth. There are so many details to keep track of in this case, hundreds of details, that he’s left with nothing to sink his teeth into which would make it possible to tear the whole story apart. That’s why he’s harping about Angie Wright at the end....he trying to find _something_ to prove Wright is an opportunistic liar so he can save his client. But bc Wright IS telling the truth, the defense attorney doesn’t know what to do. Ergo.
in his interview mark couldn’t get a word out without crying, smacking himself in the head, “hyperventilating” and punch the table, yet when they talk about how they his wife was murdered he didn’t shed a tear , hyperventilate , smack himself or the table , he just sat there ….. 🤔
Exactly! Cuz had Mark been telling the truth and HIS best friend not only kill*d his wife without him knowing, he is also blaming him causing him to be on trial for her murd*r??? ??? He would glaring him down and be sooooooo piss*d
I thought the EXACT SAME thing when I first saw it ... I've watched a bunch of them on here prerecorded and live and I have Never saw it happen before...
This defense attorney is terrible. He know his defense is a lost cause and is being overly aggressive and it making him look bad. He seems very inexperienced. As much as we hate Curtis for this murder, he’s honest and his story hasn’t changed since he finally admitted the truth of what happened.
Exactly what I said in the defendants opening statement. He's belligerent and too aggressive. I don't believe, and I maybe wrong, but this attorney doesn't have much experience in trying criminal cases. You can definitely tell.
@@mindymiljour4672 Right you are.....TOWARDS THE END JUST BEFORE THE VERDICT, ANOTHER LAWYER JOINS THE DEFENSE TABLE AND HAS A SMALL INPUT, OUTLINING MARKS SUPERIOR QUALITIES OVER THE YEARS IN THE HOPE THE JUDGE WOULD SEE THE GOOD SIDE TO HIM.............There is so much of these clips that DONOT REVEAL ALL...... SEE DATELINE-THE ROAD TRIP........ PHENOMENAL !!!!!!
@@dianawagner6151 Right !!! WHAT IS NOT** BROUGHT UP IS THE 40-50 women that Mark had liasons with.........THAT WAS THE REASON FOR HER WANTING OUT........ SEE THE REAL TRIAL AT... DATELINE-THE ROAD TRIP.
I’m not giving Curtis points for good behaviour but at least he’s taking responsibility for his actions & not downplaying his role in the murder when given that opportunity on a number of occasions.
Dee W I disagree. The only thing he is taking responsibility for is planning and setting up the murder and being there, beyond that, he minimizes his role in actually beating this woman to death. He blames alot of the killing on Jimmy.
What kind of sadistic animal kills his so-called “best friend’s” wife and then goes to the funeral and continues with the façade by expressing so much sympathy to the family for what they are going through??
Don't know why I'm compelled to watch this.. it's so painful and heartbreaking for the family. .what a terrible thing and a waste. Why are there people like this in the world
I can’t wrap my head around how someone could just kill. I would be so scared to death to take another person’s life. And these people talk about it and make plans about it like their going out to dinner.
Joyce Nesselhauf tell me about it I like to know where these people’s heads are to even think about killing. And then they think they’re going to get away with it. Murdering someone is a very hard thing to get away with. And what kind of frame of mind do you have to be in. And then bash somebody in the head with a hammer
Barbara Shepherd - the murder suspect lent Curtis $1500.00 and wanted it returned. He was to meet Curtis and since then has never been seen. This was a few years back. The mans brother was on TV telling his story. Curtis also knew that family well, from childhood. So sad they can’t find him.
Gawd. This defense attorney gives me anxiety with all his posturing and twitching and yelling. His questions do nothing to serve his client. Didn't he get enough insurance money to hire a better attorney? Dismal.
@@byBeauxARTFULIVING never heard that. In PA judges can only restrict avenues of appeal when the defendant accepts a plea bargain. Interesting. Why was Sievers made to sign innefective representation waiver of appeal?
@@markcoluzzi5754 his attorneys were Not death penalty qualified. MarkMyLifeMattersMost , in all his brillance, INSISTED he would have no other attorneys. The Judge assigned a DPQ attorney to assist Siever s attorneys.....i was told, they never utilized her help. As long as he is paying a defendant has a right to hire any attorneys he wants.....it would be a civil rights violation + a host of other issues for the judge to dictate who a defendant can hire. Thus the waiver of appeal in writing was required.....the Judge tried to help the 3 Stooges....if a big dummy is gonna insist he wants to be a bit dummy, what can you do ?
@@markcoluzzi5754 in Texas, we actually get the death part of the penalty, DONE. Idk what Florida does....do they get it done ? Or do they do like California, sentence 1000s to death , then never execute. They let the death row inmates die of boredom or psychosis over being alone for decades. I was waiting for a Casey Anthony type defense......lie and blame everyone else, repeat spew of b.s. until one juror falls for BS......very thankful he is off the streets for good.
@@byBeauxARTFULIVING Ah, makes perfect sense. His choice of attorneys was as good as his plan to murder his wife. Serves him right he can't appeal via innefective council......friggin moron !! Thanks for the clarification. I didn't know he chose non DPQ representation....guy truly is an idiot !
I can't help but wonder if he was turned into this monster because of the traumatic brain injury from the car crash. I know how severe the changes to personality, aggression and empathy can be from brain damage. I've seen a bunch of cases where the murderer had a brain injury or head trauma at some point. Makes you wonder.
Right !! I believe, Mark, from day one, like high school buds..... How he could manipulate Curtis. Mark has had him wrapped around his finger........... SEE ALLLLL** THE DETAILS ON DATELINE- THE ROAD TRIP. PHENOMENAL COVERAGE !!
It might be a necessary, but not a sufficient, condition. In other words, TBI might be a contributing factor, but couldn't be the only cause. If it were, everyone with a TBI would be a murderer.
One would think, having been a convicted felon and having gotten his life straightened out apparently, that Curtis would not want to go back to prison. No friendship is worth that.
@@jaymejohnson2375 its not, he was asked about the disappearance of his long time friend Ronnie bolan, at the end of one of his interrogations by the detective. They said he was questioned at the time and suspected.
Did anyone take notice of Mark Sievers “glancing” at the “shackles” Curtis is bound with as Curtis walks past Sievers as Curtis is exiting the courtroom (42:27). I wonder if Sievers was thinking, “hey wait a minute, they told me that set of shackles had my name on them...SOB, some friend, kill my wife for me and then have nerve to walk into court wearing my prison bling”.
The absolutely WILD AND STRANGE part of this whole case is the fact that MARK could be so SELFISH to his supposed best friend at his WEDDING! I can't stop thinking about that side of this case. He ruined his best friend's wedding, turned the wedding into "HIS" day and then to top it off, didn't even give him 3 months to be with his new bride. I think Curtis has some kind of special needs, perhaps on the spectrum, and Mark took total advantage of that. I mean, yes, it was a horrible thing Curtis did, but I don't think for a second he would've ever thought to do something like that prior to Mark's insistence. Notice Mark wouldn't even LOOK at him at first.
I thought I was mistaken on day 2 but I’ve followed 3 trials before this one and I’ve never seen the defendant approach when either parties ask to approach or when the judge does. I don’t understand why he should even be there. Another thing, why is this mostly about the actual murder and not just about the Mark Sievers involvement. Pretty sure DR. Sievers family did not have to hear that all over again. Why can’t the judge put a stop to that? People talk about respect and all that, so where’s the respect there? This should only be about his involvement, not the actual crime.
Honestly if you've only seen three trials that is why. Every defendant has the right to be a part of every aspect of their defense. It's just that most don't care to. And as to your other comment.... really? This is about justice for Teresa. Mark was her husband ffs. Not showing the awful mitigating factors would be a complete injustice to Teresa and her family. And they clearly know this because they could chose to not be there. This is a DP case. You don't shy away from the atrocities the victim suffered.
Marc Baetens I’ve seen more than 3 and I’ve never seen a defendant approach when the judge asks the attorneys to approach either. What if he was giving information to the prosecutor that was only for the attorneys to hear. I’m curious to know if anyone’s ever seen this before as well.
@ Marc Baetens, the defence is entitled to cross examine as they want to, within the legal framework. The fact that he concentrated on the murder itself, rather than trying to distance his clients involvement, is unusual though as it did no favours for Sievers!
@@mindymiljour4672 certainly makes him look bad to the jury. Walking up there to look important is what it looks like to me and writing the entire time never looking at anyone. If he was innocent he would want to stare down his old friend for killing her and blaming him not avoiding him
Everyone is asking about the sister and I think she was suppose to set up the scene and what the occasion just a background but it gets thrown off because most attorneys would put her as the 1st or 2nd to set up the situation!
NOw I think I understand why the jury did not convict Jimmy Rodgers of first degree murder. Since there was no hard evidence of a 2nd hammer used, they did not believe he actually used one but they did convict him of 2nd degree which is as the judge said is 'befuddling' .
I mean, it would have been as easy as him handing the hammer over to Jimmy so he could finish her off... He doesn't have much reason to lie about it, but I absolutely agree with your comment. It was not absolutely for certain when looking at the cold hard evidence.
Sinderelly - I suspect it’s a ploy used by lawyers to keep the defendant occupied and avoid disruptive outbursts; tantamount to parents sitting their kids down with crayons and paper while the grown-ups are busy . . . Jodi Arias did much the same thing.
Okay chief, I’m gonna need you have a seat and take it down about six notches. You all know who I’m talking about. That guy reminds me of a really aggressive Pomeranian. The judge had to pick him up by his scruff and drag him to the time out corner.
The defense attorney is doing his job. He has a client who is guilty as a puppy next to a pile of poop. He is willing to make a "fool" of himself because he knows he will get paid.
For gosh sakes, part 4 and all I hear is the same as in jimmy the hammer’s trial. Get to the new stuff already - WHY ISN’T MARK GUILTY?? Um.........maybe cuz there’s nothing new? Duh 🙄. Be done, go away, and let that poor family move on!!
She will have to console her Mom over Teresa for a long time. Seems like a good daughter. She will miss her Sis. That prick Mark. He's broken a lot of hearts by his greed.
I think maybe...he was good in the sack; she got pregnant and wanted to be married because of that; she'd been married before but not got pregnant...who knows...all I know is he was punching waaaayyyyy above his weight!!
