I love how when Mark sneezed the prosecutor didn't say "bless you" even though he's literally said it to EVERY other person that's sneezed in the courtroom. 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
I was a court reporter with the prosecutor in Fort Myers felony court before he passed the Bar. He was interning . This guy, Hamid Hunter, was a favorite to work with. Whether trials or depositions, he ALWAYS exhibited his compassion, his sense of justice and fairness, his honesty, his work ethic, his kindness. He exudes his “good guy” aura . Mr. Hunter is the prosecutor everyone would want if charged with a serious crime. He has no axe to grind; he’s not on any kind of power trip; he is NOT a “ “win-no-matter-what” guy. GREAT JOB HAMID!!!!!! I’d also like to say I worked with this judge when he was a newbie to felony court as a younger lad. All adjectives used above are applicable to the Honorable Judge Kyle.
Carol Sigg I agree that Mr. Hunter's a conscientious lawyer. And he's aware Mummet the defense's not equipped with speculation witness. His objections're right on. Mummet couldn't go further.
Carol Sigg Did you ever have opportunity to work with the defense atty for Sievers? There are many comments saying he's doing s terrible job, but my vote is out on that. Seems like he has a difficult defense to make.
Thank you for sharing these impressions by way of your professional experiences. I’ve only but my non-legal profession’s observational pov, yet the words you’ve chosen here, definitely resonate befitting. 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Why didn’t Mark Sievers call his mum to check on Teresa? His mum had been at their house all weekend checking on the animals. Makes sense to just call her , not some doctor who you’re not really on too friendly terms with
I thought of that right away. Why didn't Mark ask his mom to go and check on Teresa? Mark didn't want his mom to witness the horrible sight of Teresa's murderous death and to not implicate his mom on the criminal investigation. Mark Sievers planned to set up Dr. Petrites to discover the dead body of Teresa.
He didn't want his mother to find her, she could have had a heart attack seeing that, so he asked the Dr who he thought would be used to seeing things like blood, death, he set the Dr up for sure.
It was such a cruel, insensitive and cold thing.....calling someone close to her .....to go and check on her....knowing very well what he was going to encounter.....I mean knowing fully well this Dr was going to go in on a horrific murder scene......an innocent person stumbled on this scene and it will stick with him forever.......😧🥺
Mark Sievers set up that man to find the dead body. Mark was impatient about his wife's body being discovered. He couldn't wait to get his hands on the insurance money.
He definitely chose the Dr to call at the house on purpose, rather than his own mother or a neighbour to find Teresa dead, he thought he's a Dr so he won't freak out as much..
He looks totally haunted by this doesn't he? I feel so sorry for him. What a burden to have to bear! So unnecessary. So cruel. Such a decent man. God, he is as much a victim of this crime as everyone else involved.
AND you can actually hear what he says. There are some trials where you can’t hear the prosecutors almost at all probably cuz they walk away from the microphone idk
@@jennifers.3818 I'm shocked at the number of people who believed the real killer who managed to turn things in his favor. But you are right. Also, it doesn't help to look alike...
Sievers asks his friend on his wedding day to kill his wife, he has this friend kill his wife, he has a friend find her lifeless body. WOW what a "good friend" Sievers is.
My grandma used to say.. money are the devil's eyes. So many crimes have been and are committed because of the money. They can seduce you until the point to kill for them. Evil. A bunch of psychopaths and I'm glad he received death penalty.
I sure do hope someone got the dog back. Dogs are living, breathing beings and are important too. I hope and pray someone is taking care of the precious babies today.
OR, you could express prayer for the two children. You know, THE HUMAN BEINGS who returned home to learn their mothers' head had been bashed in with a hammer!!!
Sooooo evil. The lowest of low. To send this poor man to find his friend. Despicable. My favorite thing the defense attorney says is “no further questions Your Honor”. Other than that, JUST 🤐 doofus
Sievers made that poor doctor go and discover Teresa’s body when he knew full well what he’d find. I imagine that man will live with that the rest of his life, seeing his friend and colleague dead
@@Asidebar The OP means that the fact that Sievers gave Dr Petritis the garage code indicates Sievers KNEW just knocking on the door wouldn’t work. I.E. Sievers is giving away that he already knew Theresa was dead.
They could only pick apart the conversations that the dr had with Mark about wright being innocent but the defense didn’t touch the fact that mark and the Dr had no friendship, they didn’t speak outside of the company of mrs sievers and that mark randomly calls the dr the day before the murder and then has him go to the house that morning to find her dead. Come on. The defense is literally only driving home the point that Mark orchestrated this entire thing!
Yup, and I bet that was the first time Mr Sievers had ever called to check on how the doctor was doing. He wanted to frame the doctor because of his close relationship with his wife. Thankfully the jurors saw his evil heart.
I think he thought his wife would be killed leaving the office with the Dr. The dr would be killed too, and the Drs wife would be framed, as a jealousy killing. He was calling to make it ‘known’ that he wasn’t angry at the Dr.
@@candulagirl7817 To be completely fair Mummert is a divorce lawyer. This was an arena of law he didn’t usually (if ever) practice in. He told Sievers this, but Mark asked him to stay on with him through the criminal trial.
What kind of defense attorney is this? Trying to make a witness (Dr. P) look as if he was trying to withhold information? These voicemails are very relevant but how would he have known. The poor guy was set up to find his friend he’s only there to help as much as he can!
Carol Sigg Agreed. An innocent person would have wanted to know how badly she was injured or what hospital. Awful. This has hurt both families, & the kids now won't have parents. Don't know how someone could get over that.
We've seen the obsessive writing by defendants in so many trials. I can't help but thinking this is a defense tactic maybe to give the impression that the defendant is "not right in the head" for lack of better words. Also to keep the defendant busy to mask reactions or lack of during the testimonys. It's bad strategy but the defense knows they are fighting a losing battle so they try anything. Oh, just thought of something lol it could also be an attempt to distract the jury from testimony. They may spend time watching the defendant wondering about his chaotic writings.
Yes, I agree. Leaving a voice mail for the Dt. And they haven't spoken in years. Then another voice mail to see if he could check on his wife and look for her in the house.
@@brendabrierebriere9406 2 words u summed it up...i feel im watching a narcissistic sociopath loose his mind..wtf ..why is he all hunched over ..isn't even paying attention. @Bobby Dools creeps me out..had a stalker...was just like these characters..cant look ya in the eyes...did a lot of research on phycopath and narcissism...all these crime stories I watch since the Chris watts story...all narcso's
I wondered what happened to the poor two dogss and where they were during afyer the murder. clearly those poor dogs witnessed her being murdered. Dig ran straight out the minute the doctor opened the garage. Never did that poor doctor know the HUSBAND was the murderer. Traumatised this doctor im sure he is after finding her. 😭
Celtic Highlander&AHook I wondered about the dogs too. I always worry about the poor pets in cases like this. I hope Theresa's family took them in. Sievers is rambling in the phone call to the doctor because he was feeling guilty.
There is no end to the horrors of this crime, but for anyone who has dogs or knows of the innocent and loyal spirit of dogs, it is so dreadful to think of Teresa’s dogs having watched what happened and spent the night worrying over their mom. 💔💔💔
What the heck is Mark even writing on his note pad? The coward can’t even look up. Avoiding eye contact by acting like he is writing important notes. 🙄😡
Sievers knowingly ensnared the Dr, His own mother, staff at the Practice, and murdered his childrens mother, he honestly felt like they would be better off without her? His blood runs cold as ice! What did she see in this Sociopath? Was he a very convincing Personality disorder?, one who Duped Everyone, and enjoyed it immensely, so sure he would never be caught? Dr Petrites did well by his friend imho.
Wow so he REALLY tried to set this guy up to take the fall for this and his "brilliant" idea for doing so was to call the night before to let him know Teresa would be coming home BY HERSELF that night.
I think dogs seen it. They orobably ran away in fear. They must have been around dr P said minute he opened garage door one if digs ran out because doir was open from garage to the house. Poor dogs terrifiedout their minds onky to lose theresa and kids no idea where they allwent the cat too.
Defence lawyers is… odd in his conduct. He copies the questions of the prosecution. Doesn’t establish anything from doing so. Then he struggles with dates and articulation. Bless. I wonder how experienced he is.
Not very. Mummert is a divorce lawyer that represented Mark in the hearings over his kids. Mark asked him to stay on for the criminal trial and he did.
What at scumbag setting Dr. Petrias up like this. Sievers knew perfectly well she was deceased. This poor man became a suspect in a murder and had to go through a tremendous amount of trauma clearly his own good name with the police. He should have never had to find his good friend in this condition. I feel so awful for this poor doctor. He seems like a very kind man. Also one other think why wouldn’t Sievers call the police to do a welfare check? This is a normal step for anyone to take instead of calling a family friend. I would like to give Dr. P a hug. He suffered a tremendous event and he should have never had to experience this horrible crime.
I always wonder if these people who murder their spouses think it's worth it, if they could go back knowing what they know now, would they still do it, knowing they would be caught. Or would they just get a divorce like normal people. They can't all possibly think they have committed the perfect murder.
Sure, take a note, Mark. That will make it all go away. The more I watch him the more I can’t stand him. I hope his appeals run out soon. Waste of good oxygen.
he is always got a smile on his face.never looking up jury sees this.he is guilty going to jail and hope someone knocks the smile right off his face.He looks like mister clean
That’s so sad he would send the Dr. to that horrific scene knowing good and well she was dead. If the Dr. didn’t tell Mark she was dead then why would he text her assistant that Treasa was dead! Nothing but pure Evil.
Patti Hawks: Sorry Patti but in medical parlance it’s pronounced “buckle” not “bew-kal”. It refers to the inside of the cheek known medically as the buccal cavity - again pronounced “buckle”.
This “Defense” attorney is struggling. I don’t know if he’s incompetent or he knows he’s defending a guilty man that has SO MUCH evidence against him that he’s just grasping at straws. He was behind the eight ball 🎱 before this trial even began. RIP Teresa.
Weird: bc MS was in another state when his wife was murdered apparently the detectives didnt think he "did it"... leading me to believe it must be very rare that a person hires someone to kill their spouse.
