Mark posted about raising money for a sick friend, and he realized that he no longer has the pull to get attention for that friend. But you know what does? Comicsgate. Imagine the anger that lives inside of him that while the industry burns around him due to his own actions, that comicsgate grows.

No one is surprised. He's only still a working pro because there's no one left. He's a deckhand on the Titanic.

The last comic I bought was Kingdom Come. I was in my early 20s and drifted away from comics because I was working all the time and building a life. I went from wanting to be a comic artist and writer to more "realistic" goals. A friend at work told me I had to read this mini series. So I found a LCS in the city I had moved to for work and picked it up. It was a good close to my time as a comic nerd. But both Waid and Ross have proven to either be crazy or hateful these past few years. I just can't enjoy what they did anymore. So my hobby ends on a sour note instead. Damn shame.
