Marriage Without Kids - Insights And Perspectives 

As a happily married man, I can totally understand why people may not choose marriage, but I will never understand why anyone married or single would decide to bring children into this world.

What I love about having a childfree marriage, is knowing that my husband is with me because of me. We wake up every day and choose to remain with each other. He's not with me through some obligation to children.

As someone who wants to hopefully get married one day but with no kids, this is the exact kind of life I want, and life that appeals to me. For me marriage is committing to a life long partnership to someone you deeply love and care about. I also feel like kids come with the chance of putting the strain on marriage and I don't wanna risk that on top of the many other reasons I don't want kids.

I am not religious so it is a lot easier to do what I want. I got married for love and never wanted kids.

Romance is my favorite thing in the whole wide world, lol. And Valentine’s Day is NOT it. Kids ruin that for couples with children. That reason and among so many more is why I didn’t want children when we got married. Marriage for me was the epitome of romance and love for our relationship. Not sure why some only equate with children.

Love comes in so many different ways. For me, at this point in my life, self-love is the main source of love I feel. I don't need love from anyone else to feel love.

Agree that childfree couple got married because they love each other. Those who asked “why do you got married if you don’t want kids?” , I feel sorry for them because they don’t know what is ❤and still can’t think beyond their animal instinct, their purpose of living is to breed, just like the chicken in the farm.

Why bother to get married.. well maybe to have that companionship that everyone else keeps inappropriately expecting for their poor kids to provide them with 🙄

I agree with society on this one. The only reason I'd ever invite the government into my relationship is to build a "family." Since im CF, there's no reason for me to get legally married. By the way, I highly *prefer* being a bachelor, so take my POV with a lb of salt.

Marriage without kids are really possible. Those people who think is not possible are not really thinking and just only wants to follow the crowd, being so pressured about what the world offers to them. For me, it is much happier and liberating to live without kids because you can only focus on your partner and how you can make him happy 🥰🥰 This is what I'm praying for. My ex who came back into my life after 10 years and he was my last ex. He dumped me again for the second time when I told him that I don' t want kids or wanna birth child. He thinks I was just joking and after two weeks of no contact he found someone already got the girl pregnant after two months of being together as in he wants to have child without any direction, he just only wants My dream is to be Childfree but Married. That's it. I'm firm about this decision and will never change my mind.

I am very over the moon with my decision to be single/unmarried and childfree at 40 years of age. Marriage and parenthood are both not for me at all. I just love having freedom to go out and do whatever I want whenever I want.

There are plenty of married couples who are childfree by choice like the late bob Barker and his wife and jay Leno and his wife they never had children either for me i don't want to ever get married i just don't believe in the hole marriage thing thinks to my parents toxic marriage even some childfree people don't believe in marriage like the actor john Cusack i only recently found out that he is childfree by choice and has the same views on marriage

Thanks for sharing these thoughts. I wonder if there is something similar for having just one child. Personally, I already had two adult kids but I agreed with my new partner that we would have one child together given that she had an intense wish for a child and I had lots of nice memories of parenting. However, now she says it would be nice if our daughter had a sibling! I realize that it could be "nice" but the strain of looking after more than one kid is much greater. In short, I do not agree that once you started with one kid you must follow up with another. There are lots of kids in our neighborhood and our daughter can make friends.

Love is just a dilution unfortunately

All of the ideas stated in this video can be done without marriage, right? The only reason to get married without kids is religious purposes and tax breaks and maybe in case there is an accidental pregnancy which leads to a child.

Honestly as a man I would not be married if I don't want to have children because I won't risk divorce😁

People definitely make the error of equating having children being about their own happiness or personal fulfillment. Children are all our future. Some people willingly remove themselves from the future, by not having any children - its a kind of very drawn out suicide, but that's their choice to make.
