Representation is key! And thankfully some recognize the privilege they have to speak out regarding their lifestyle because it should be something considering normal!

Can you imagine there are still a whole bunch of low-income or even jobless women choosing to become single mothers. It blows my mind.

I can’t imagine! It puts unnecessary pressure onto everyone; especially the child! Growing up with a single mother (as a result of my dad’s choices) was already tough within itself!

In our child-obsessed world, I find it very brave of women to choose to live a child-free life. I don't necessarily feel brave or proud of myself, because I never ever felt maternal towards human children, so if I had had a child, it would simply have been a stupid and wrong move - not that I wouldn't have been a good mom, I actually think I would be quite an awesome mom, but I would have had a hard time with resentment and the grief of the child-free life I should've chosen. And it is so important to be a 'loud' child-free person because women need to hear that this is an option, that you can have an amazing life without children etc. So thanks for this video and your channel. ❤

I know a woman that was giving birth and the baby was not coming out. It was too late for a C section so the doctor had to break both of her pelvic bones. Don't have to convince me to not give birth.

Thanks for informing young women (and men!) that they don't need to take the parenthood route like their parents. Just because they think its something, "they have to do" I'm glad that more people are making better decisions about their lives!

Agree with everything you said. I CANNOT believe at one point I wanted kids😂 but better to figure it out now in my early twenties than later 🤷🏾‍♀️

Adolescence is a time about learning who we are as people and what we want for ourselves outside of what we grew up learning and being told. It’s okay to change what we once formerly thought we wanted! 💖

One of the reasons that I am proud to be Childfree is due to me realizing that I would be one of those deadbeat dads (like the ones who resent Childfree women) who would let all of the child care fall onto my girlfriend. I would get overwhelmed and probably slack on my part in parenting. Out of respect for myself, but especially my girlfriend and non-existent child, I have chosen to be Childfree. And I am proud to not subject my girlfriend to my apathetic co-parenting.

This, More "child free" people should explore this philosophy, it could give them counter arguments and moral high ground to position of natalistic apologists.

I’m single/unmarried and childfree, best decision I have ever made. You should make a video about your thoughts about adopting or fostering children who already in existence which would be less selfish than having biological children of your own.

It's good that you try to live authentically by your values and not simply live by the values of others. Livng by the values of others destroys you and frustrates you. One thing to point: Self-fufillment is not a value. It is a concomitant of a life lived by rational and authentic values. Those who seek self-fulfillment as an end in itself find themslves quite alienated and lonely. This is why, for example, people who seek to live by what gives them pleasure as an end in itself find that nothing gives them pleasure. Pleasure is also a concomitant.

41 and child-free. There was a time when I wanted a husband and children. But that time is no more. I worked in daycare for fifteen years, taught preschool for four years. I honestly think that played a part in my decision, as it basically ruined kids for me. But even more so, I think I really just took a long hard look at why I even thought I wanted the marriage and kids thing in the first place. It wasn't because it was what I actually wanted, it was because I thought that was what was expected of me. Find a partner before twenty-five, have kids before you turn thirty. If you don't, you won't fit in with everyone else. The older I have gotten, the less I care about what is supposedly my duty as a woman, and I care more about what will truly make me happy in this one life I have to live. If other people are triggered by this, then sorry but that's not my problem.

not sure if you have to be PROUD of being child free. it is not an achievement or something. I do not judge your decision at all. In the end it is your life! aside from your decision: if all people decided to stay child free, humanity would go extinct in 80 years from now. that is a scary thought imho. I have one child and always wanted to be a father. Only because I really wanted to be an active father, I can put in the effort each day to be there for him, educating, raising, loving him. If you do not want any kids, you better do not get any! Without full commitment you will not be a good parent and children suffer.

To each their own but I’d feel so lonely if I never got married or have children. Even if I have a partner I feel like we’d get nowhere without making a family of our own. But that’s my personal opinion. To each their own.

I completely understand! The way we as humans experience and find values in different things can be different based on who we talk to as it all depends on a million little scenarios we experience in life. Some people find fulfillment and motivation within raising a family while others could struggle and fall behind.

People who don't have children assert that their genome is removed from the pool. Nothing wrong with that. Childlessness is a self defeating strategy.
