Loved this! Couples- Stay true to your union . Don’t let ideologies, stereotypes, or ignorance interfere. I wish you both well in your unions. Were all from the same place , migrated to different areas. Continue to let your marriages serve as an example of love between people of color. We are more alike, than different!.

I really enjoyed this. I was dating a Nigerian man and his "Sister" used to call him all the time and he would talk for long periods of time. I decided to ask questions and he lied and said, she is truly his sister. I began to learn the Yoruba language and also Pidgin. I discovered that she was his girlfriend, who he called his wife and so many other things that he was doing that i won't mention. Needless to say he was shocked when I began to understand the language and also found her FB page. I found out so many things, well confirmed some things that I knew in my spirit, I was first hurt, embarrassed then angry I decided not to be so hard on myself for staying in it a moment longer than I should have stayed. I did beat myself up a bit though saying to my self, "You have common sense and are College Educated; Why would you fall for this all in the name of love ?" I took the positive from the relationship and I also took a good look at myself and made some long over due changes after having Inner Conversations. Thank you all for sharing your lives. I have been watching and liking your videos. Blessings to you all and your Families!

This was very good, and I found the podcast. My Nigerian guy and I have been dating long-distance for 7 months. He is from Nigeria but currently lives in Romania he is Igbo from Abia, I live in New Orleans. One thing I appreciate about him is his patients with me. He doesn't rush me I move at my own pace. I found that it doesn't take Nigerian men long to decide if they want to marry you. I had to work through that process. He has never taken from me, not even when I offered. He gives to me. We plan to marry around the end of this year beginning of next year. I've watched many channels that talk about being married to a Nigerian man, but yours is the most mature. If that makes any sense. Thank you for the information. I wish you much success.

I love my brothers on the continent and in the diaspora. However, as I have began to date Nigerian men, not all but from my experiences, many are well traveled, which makes them adventurous. I have also noticed that they have no problem asserting themselves when it comes to connecting with a woman. They believe in chilvalry, are very charming, consider you, and keep themselves very neat and well put together. The indept conversations are very stimulating, and they are pretty straight forward. I am not saying that brothers from the diaspora do not have any of these traits. Just of the Nigerian men that I have dated, this has been my experieces.

How did your friends and families react when you told them you dating a Nigerian? Did they have any stereotypes, doubts etc.

Airman Pesanayi For the most part, my friends and family respect me and trust my judgement. The people who had doubts or concerns never voiced them to me directly. I think all the ones who doubted have watched us and ultimately love our family.

OSAHON OSASU The best thing I think you can do is prepare yourself for marriage just as you would in any other relationship. And follow the advice of my husband in this podcast - don’t ask for money. Be able to hold your own without her assistance such as traveling, paying bills, etc. I wish you the best.

I must admit I am and have always been attracted to African men.. Many American Women don’t realize that there are many subcategories.., within the category.. They are not all created equal.. Lol ... Currently awaiting the arrival of my African King.. I know he is out there somewhere.. We will cross paths when God is ready .. Btw I Kind Of like this podcast thing ...Lol... gonna work on starting one of my own.. 😉

Let's get an understanding:African Americans DONOT APPRECIATE BEING REFERRED TO AS WILD CATS AKA AKATAS! I Rreally enjoyed your channel.until I heard that word being used so commonly among Nigerian's. Believe it or not most AA women say that Nigerians are the Pookie, Ray-Ray and Shaniqua's of Nigeria.
