I don’t know how she did it but she actually looks lovelier (and YOUNGER) than she did in her 1970’s videos! I adore her, such a sweet and classy woman who’s had some terrible tragedies in her life. I know she lost a Son in a 1989 in a car accident, l think he was 19 or 20. She also, had Polio when she was 13 years old, leaving permanent damage to her left arm and hand. (So many people assume it was a stroke, which is understandable it’s her left arm.) Her autobiography, “Recipe for Life” was extremely interesting. I love her nickname, “Queen of Tarts”! I love Martha Stewart but, hand down Mary Berry rules.
Vision saucepans. They looked the part and held the heat well but could never boil milk in them because after removing from the stove the milk would continue to rise and boil over the pan.
“Don’t slop it on the cooker like me”......I always slop stuff on the cooker when making soups etc as I am such a klutz in the kitchen. It’s tradition!
That looks like Corning ware visions. Bought some of them in the late '80s early '90s and they were not ideal for frying, except for boiling. Kind of heavy and cumbersome and breakable.
There's quite a lot of people on television who are nowhere near as plummy as they were 50 years ago. The Queen herself has a much more down to earth accent now than she did when she was young.
