Fantastic job😊!! People seem to know so much about her Brother and the events in his life, but she in her own way shined like a bright star bringing love and loyalty to the crown. May she rest in peace 🕊️
One of the reasons people love Tudor times is the rise and fall and rise again of those in it. The Dudleys are a perfect example. Thank you for the video!
I do not think anyone really likes a usurper dynasty of blood thirsty King's who ruled by fear and violence. The only good thing was Elizabeth I out of that lot .
Another wonderful story, Jon! I love learning about the people that I’ve not heard of. Imagine being so close to the Queen that she took care of her during the small pox outbreak. She put her own self in danger. Job well done again!
Very nice! Loved to hear that Robert had such an influential sister! Seems that certain families are intertwined with the royals for generations and exert enormous influence.
Such beautiful costumes and I just love the animated vivid colors really makes them come to life. A wonderful story beautifully told. You have earned a new convert!
Another interesting woman. She was very loyal. The Tudor time was so fascinating in general and it always will be, so much drama, intrigue, pain and interesting personalities. Great narration 👍
First of all most people don't realize that Queen Elizabeth was already wearing a wig from the time of her inauguration as Queen and the reason was she had very little hair was because of the fact that she had suffered a terrifying fever a few years earlier and unfortunately one of the things that she lost during that time was her hair.
As Tudor history buff I'm flabbergasted that I am had no idea that Robert had a sister much less that she was the mother of the renowned poet Phillip, such a sad ending of such a brilliant young man. Now I understand how Phillip was Robert's nephew! I will certainly be on thrift books looking for her biography! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us! I only wish the video was a bit longer and more details!
I love history and just found your channel. I’ll be watching this constantly. Are the pictures AI? They sure go well with the story. Great job and this should be shown in schools.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video, Jon. Thank you for sharing it. Not just because I am named after Elizabeth I and her mother Anne, I love this era. I would not go so far as to say that it didn’t have black times but it wasn’t as bad as The Plantagenets and Tudors. God bless you ❤
Lovely account, so nicely expressed deeply pleased me. I'm a Baconian and i'd love to know if Mary, the mother of Philip and Mary especially ever spoke of Francis Bacon and supported him in his work. Did Mary sr know her queen and brother's secret? An Australian would like to know.
I’ve no idea whether the dresses shown here are real.,if so, they are magnificent but I can’t imagine the work that went into producing them. Where are the pictures derived from, because they certainly aren’t from portraits of the time. As for the story of Mary Dudley’s life, I don’t know how accurate it is. Probably not very. Hollywoodised?
Is it me or is there a strong resemblance facially speaking Mary Dudley and the two Mary's Mary Tudor who was Queen Mary also known as bloody Mary and Mary Queen of Scots.
