@@alexgivideos1965 I am not so mad about it, it's more funny than anything else in retrospective. The sad thing is I would never have sold these, but I needed money sometime when I was a student. I still have my most of my collection from these days... that helps not to be so mad...

Hindsight is 20/20. I played from 97-02ish, and sold all my cards. They'd be worth thousands now.

And that is why Rudy spends a decent amount of time talking about being stable before branching out into investing in to MTG or collectibles. You can really forfeit massive gains by running into these unfortunate situations, and realistically it probably turns out worse for most folks, because when they own valuable sought after items, they usually end up needing the money quickly. This can lead to forgoing any realized gains that may have been achieved and sometimes accumulate losses depending on how quickly people need to liquidate. Sorry to hear about having to let go of cards that you probably cherished. I had a collection stolen from me by the friend who got me into magic. Sad thing it was stolen right in front of me, with my permission to "sell" it to him on a payment plan. Those payments never came... To top it off, I didn't even need the money, I was selling them to him because he said he was getting back into the game after 8 or so years since we had played.

@@notoriouslycody Well I was only 17 and living on my own because I had no parents who wanted me. If I had a normal life as a kid I would still have the cards. I know people who have had a easy life don't want to believe it but, %90 of wealth comes down to how lucky you are.

​@@skatetodeath666 There is no doubt that it influences access to opportunities. I would add that situations and circumstances can be overcome, but this comes with a tremendous amount of discipline, dedication, and sacrifice. There are no easy ways up.

Old cards should have no value. They suck ass, dont fit anywhere and break everything good about the game. Burn them all in sight.

i could possibly see that as the next new generations have no nostalgic values and memories of these old cards like we did.
