I can see the commercials now, someone drops a nuke (God forbid) and they show multiple clips of Biden falling down, and ask, "Is this the man you want in charge when the *** hits the fan?" I never feel ripped off at Aldi like I do at other supermarkets. Shoprite the past 2 months charging $4.99 pound for grapes while Aldi ranges $1.29 to $1.79. And I've seen more price drops at Aldi, it all depends on supply and demand. Dozen eggs were .96 cents today.
I know that everyone goes to Aldi for their produce. Don't forget about their plants. I have always had great success with their plants. I am a seasoned veteran when it comes to food preservation but, I recently found Amy Cross of The Cross Legacy and her tips for prolonging the life of produce blowed me away. We are all life long learners!
Thank you so much for these updates, I shop at Aldi often. The killer is they tell us that inflation is going down, yeah, right. It may be slowing just a bit, but you'd never tell by these prices.
Aldi sees all the other stores getting away with crazy prices/profits and I guess they want to push the envelope too? As long as they are the cheapest game in town, tho…….
This is corporate greed. If you look, we’ve been told repeatedly that the inflation rate is at 18%. If you look at groceries you’ll see they are way way beyond 18% so as far as I’m concerned it’s nothing but corporate greed and that was one thing our president said he would never allowed to happen.
Make your own spaghetii sauce EASY. In a pot for a medium size amount put two large tomato cans (or more cans depending how many you are feeding), 1/4 to 1/2 stick of butter, Italian spices, garlic fresh or dried, and sautéed onions & peppers (optional). Bring to a boil, put a lid on & turn the temp down to low. The butter makes it sweeter. & breaks up the tartness of the tomatoes VS adding sugar or corn starch. Then cook for 1 hour. After it's done you can add a few tablespoons of riogotta cheese (optional). it's that easy to make. You can make large batches and freeze in serving size batches. This is the best sauce. 🍅. It's much healthier then store jars because you know what is in it VS jar that has added man made chemicals & sugars in many brands. If you have a summer garden then you can use fresh tomatoes too. At the end of your tomato season when the tomatoes are still green you can pick the green tomatoes, wrap them in news paper then put in a large grocery brown paper bag and they will riipen up (within a few days or week old farmers trick to ripen tomatoes) to red and these are the ones I make large spaghetti sause for all winter. Home made tomato sause is a real treat on a cold winter day. 🍅🍅🍝
Danno, I usually get Del Monte or Dole when I am getting canned fruit. I think they are better than store brands. You get what you pay for. I don't mind paying a little extra for what I know is good.

That sign 400 a week to 400 a month would only work if someone switched from the Whole Paycheck store to Aldi's. Aldi's hardly beats out Walmart anymore, and they do not carry nearly as much variety or staple type food, it's more snack, snack, snack stuff. Lately the old-time few and far between Sav-On and other old groceries in odd parts of town and salvage stores are the only place to really get deals. Go in with your homework done though, knowing prices. This channel helps that aspect a lot.
I have a grocery store chain store, Walmart and Aldis' & Dallar tree on the same road within 1/2 mile. I have noticed with the Walmart grocery prices skyrocketing & the grocery store chain prices always $1 more for everything they sell that Aldi's has become very popular. People are filling their shopping cars up high at Aldi's much longer checkout lines now. It's a good thing that people are really watching all the prices and shopping at all these stores to save a ton of money. I buy cheese at aldis & save about $3-$5 each time. That's a big savings at the end of the year just on one item. Thanks to Danno I can see what the prices are everywhere. Take care.

@@patriotpreacher43 Their 24 bottle water is 2.79 and their dog treats are a lot cheaper than Meijers. Selected canned Del Monte veggies are 1.00. I need to shop their more often and check even closer.
The salt said best by, not expire, salt does not expire, it has been around for a million years, depending on the way it was extracted, I use Himalayan Pink salt as it has more minerals.

Yep they raise the prices shrink the box size and bring it back down $0.05 then they tell you you're getting a great deal but we have to do the best we can

The organic aldi marinara can’t be beat price wise. Organic sauce any where else around me starts at 5 bucks and up. We love it. Good simple ingredients.
Green tea with ginseng and lemon has been absent from our usual Aldi for months. Went to another town last week and they had them! Bought 12. Still at $1.19, up from .99 but that increase was a long time ago. As I drink this for ice tea daily, so thankful to finally find it!

I’m just starting the video but I just bought the hash-browns there and they were always $2.99 for 20. The new price is $5.49. 😮 $2.99 for years. That’s just ridiculous. ETA: I quit buying Aldi’s Red Beans and Rice because the bean to rice ratio changed dramatically. Now it’s mostly rice.

Hey Danno and Jess it’s true Aldi is catching up on their prices to Walmart and other stores , we just have to buy what is still a savings for us and what taste the best at a comparable price elsewhere!! But we do know prices for the most part arent coming back down so it’s either buy it now at todays price or pay more for it next week or next month at an increased price!! The Club Crackers are pretty good. I use them with the block cheese sliced for snacks. Also like the chocolate chip/ peanut butter chip granola bars. Love the blueberry bagels. I’ll have to get some strawberries to make jam. This time I’ll freeze it to keep the color. Mine faded. Still good but doesn’t look good. The same happened with the raspberry jam. I always get my paper plates at Aldi. Have you seen canned apple pie filling at Aldi? It’s been gone from our two stores? So glad I have 20 half gallon jars of sugar in my preps and vacuum sealed bags of flour put away. Whenever I find meat on sale I buy it, vacuum seal it in serving portions and freeze them.
They’re predicting a shortage of baking supplies coming and olive oil prices are supposed to go up a lot. I’m going to buy my cats 🐱 some of the wet food that comes in pouches for my emergency stash cause they take up less room.
Love your videos and really appreciate your research in helping us find good deals. My family likes the Simply Nature Organic Pasta Sauces at Aldi. The Tomato Basil is good as is and sometimes I "dress up" the Marinara with Italian spices and garlic & onion powder. I have used the Marinara on homemade pizza and it's pretty tasty.
Not too long ago, I saw an article where Aldi is not always the cheapest so I put it to the test a couple times. Once by myself and the second time with my husband to show him. I found that Aldi and Kroger were the same in price. What I and we did was went online and put all of the same items in both carts, then looked at the total of each. We were super shocked that they were almost exactly the same. Only off by pennies! I very much prefer Aldi food because it is much higher quality coming from Europe, but Kroger has more variety. However, I have not done this since prices have gone up. I can if you would like me to and report my results to you in the comments to see what it's like now. I can even email you screenshots of the items.
Aldi is the most expensive store in my town .my local mom and pop grocery is surprisingly the cheapest with Wal-Mart in the middle. I haven't shopped there in months.
I really like Aldi but considering its an hour drive, i stock up when i go. I really like their brand mayo and miracle whip... vanilla wafers... marinara sauce...grape jelly and yes...red bag chicken! I used to buy cookies, crackers and snack grain bars but they are getting to expensive. Great video! 👍

It's exactly the same in aldis in the UK 🇬🇧 some stuff have more than doubled since the days of the lockdowns. As for other supermarkets you can spend a fortune buying basic things...it's mad isn't it.
We went to a store in Stanford KY called Durham's grocery and bought up a bunch of stakes for about a hundred dollars and got a few packs of hot dogs good brand all for around 121 .00 very good deal better than Walmart meat prices .

I made my once a month trip to Aldi yesterday and prices were disappointing. It used to be Aldi was easily the cheapest on many things we buy and that's not the case anymore at all. I spent half of what I'd spend there a year or two ago because deals (compared to other places) were slim. A few deals I found- canned yams (large can) .99 instead of the usual 1.69, good 'til late '25, and some varieties of their sliced cheese were down to 1.49/pack.
I won't even go in Publix anymore. Yes, its clean with good service, but when I can get my KETO bread at Sam's for $4.99 and they are charging $8.99, I think its insulting to customers.

Aldi's is now being sued for their fruit bars. They say they were all natural with malic acid but found out it was synthetic malic acid. Also on other bar brands, there aren't as many in the box that the box states.
I don't buy the saltines at Aldi anymore because they tend to be tough. I tried Premium Saltines. They were okay but, expensive. I just bought the Great Value saltines. I think they are just as good as the Premium.

You asked about the organic Tomato & Basil sauce, and the organic Marinara sauce -- we like them! I use them as backups for my backups, because I like making my own sauce. Also, the Club crackers are very good! I had to sneak them in on my brand-name-loving husband. But he liked them just as well!
The Aldi version of wheat thins are pretty good. But at $2.15, they’re about the same price at the Kroger version. That’s true with a lot of Kroger’s house brands. Aldi seems to be doing a better job holding prices on things like their refrigerated foods, frozen foods and produce. Romaine hearts for $2.49, gala apples for $2.99/bag, cherub tomatoes for $2.99, grapes for $1.29/lb and strawberries for $1.69. It was nice that you noted that they had All Deez Nuts 😂

The red bag chicken used to have 8 pcs in the bag. Last week I bought some and was disappointed to only find 6 in the bag. Also watch for some items marked as containing bioengeneered components. There is a certain type of baked beans I noticed them in. Check your labels. NO GMO'S!
The red bag chicken has had variance in the number of pieces per bag for a long time - long before inflation really hit. It is sold by weight, not quantity. I usually try to "feel" through the bag to determine the number of pieces in the bag. The weight of the package may have shrunk...not sure. I haven't bought it in a long time.
Thanks again Danno for your price reviews. It certainly helps! I am visiting in north NJ for 2 weeks, and Aldi's doz eggs are $0.99. That has come down a lot in 3 months. Happy to see that. People may want to get a bunch and freeze them if you have space. One cracked open egg per ice cube section on the tray. Then put the cubes in a zip lock freezer bag. Or, if you have a dehydrator, you can blend the eggs and put them on a fruit leather tray and dehydrate them to make them into powdered eggs. Works great for long term storage in a mason jar and oxygen absorber. Can last several years. I do like Aldi's fresh bagged spinach at $1.49. Oyster crackers bag here is $0.95. Great in soups, or on top of chicken/tuna salad (instead of a roll or bread). One pound of butter is $3.18 here. I have plenty of ghee made during their Thanksgiving time frame, when I got the butter at $2.29 lb.. The store LIDL here has red seedless grapes for $0.99 lb, 10 lb limit. No tax on food in NJ. Another savings. Going to make some Grape juice in quart Ball jars. Will drag my family in with their phone aps, and we will get 40 lbs. Stop at walmart and get a couple of cases of quart Ball jars. Stock up your pantry when you can for just in case. 🇺🇲

Our gas prices have been going up and I'm starting to see a number of $5.19 per gallon agsin. We bought yesterday at $4.43 at one of the cheaper stations in the area and thought ourselves fortunate. The gas in inexoensice areas is now $4.59 although I did see one at $4.49 and we bought at $4.43.
I bought that bag of peaches and they were sour. I think it's too early to buy them. The strawberries were good. Correction on the yellow onions. That is a 2 lb. bag just like the red ones you showed.
While I was watching your video my power went out ( for a short period) . Lots of rain & very windy lately where I live . I’m not a fan of Aldi crackers either . I like Town House or Ritz . I wait until those brands go on sale . We have oyster crackers at my Aldi . The strawberries & blueberries look great. I’ve never seen Rao’s at my Aldi . It is a delicious sauce . Eggs are 1.18 a dozen. Aldi has the best egg prices in town . The best prices for paper plates IMO is Aldi or Costco . Thanks for the update of grocery prices.
Just ran in to Aldi after work and our store hasn't had their band of tomato soup in over 2 months here in Cookeville, TN. I love the scalloped potatoes and was shocked at the increased price.
Salt with iodine and/or anti caking agents generally have a 5 year shelf life.. They can become yellow in color but can still be used.. Kosher salts that are pure with no additives last indefinitely.. Canning/pickling salt, sea salt, Himalayan pink, and Kosher all good preps..

Hi Danno, FYI my food delivery food( Schwans)truck comes every 2 weeks, the driver says there company can’t get food sources to keep there company stocked up. Prices are up because they can’t get food.
Also quality is going down in Aldi. I bought some of the trash bags and they are normally very strong but now they are super thin. I think they are like 6.99 now if I remember correctly. Shame on Aldi!

Burman's mayonnaise sells for around $2 per 30-ounce jar at Aldi and is almost a perfect replacement for America's favorite mayo. In fact, according to a chef writing for Insider, Burman's tastes even better than Hellmann's. I really like Aldi, I don’t buy the frozen items there so maybe those have increased in cost a lot. I usually buy mainly produce and cooking supplies, imported German items, cheese, pastas and dry goods. Sometimes detergent or household things still cost less at our Aldi than other places too. Aldi has been trying hard to keep prices lower, but even they eventually are having to raise some of them. Small strawberries taste better. I don’t mind smaller berries Aldi strawberries go moldy kind of fast, so eat them soon after buying.
I like Aldi but I buy anywhere storable items are on sale . The prices are getting out of hand .It's sunny so far here in the Nashville area .I seen fans on sale at Aldie so hopefully they're still available .I love their bread .Its so so fresh ,eggs too good price. My Aldis (Central Illinois) hasn't had the little peanut butter crackers for the last month or so, and I asked when the tag was gone if they were going to have them back in and was told it was a supplier issue so more than likely not. My little yard critters were very sad since I bought them to feed them in the mornings. I have since had to switch from $1 something a pack to the $3 packs, so cant buy as many for them. Buy as much as you can, when you can, and Prep On Everyone 😊
