I got a ham at the local discount store for 99cents a pound! It will last all week for meals. And what is left will get fed to the chickens. We are also eating potatoes that I grew this spring. They came from potatoes that went to seed that I bought at the same discount store for $1.99 for 5lbs! That 5lbs is now 40lbs of potatoes. Talk about stretching a dollar!!

yes. I bought a whole ham at Aldi's around easter for $6 (they had a very good extra special sales on hams). I will bake it then cut it off the bone and freeze in small lunch size packets to pull out for lunch meat and a few dinner meals for a few months. I do this also, with turkeys at Thanksgiving. I bought 3 turkeys on sale (butterball) one for thanks giving, cooked one the week of thanksgiving and cut that meat off the bone divided into small packets for lunch and some for a quick dinner (frooze all this meat to pull out during several months). Then for the turkey bones made crockpot broth for winter soup. for the 3rd turkey I cooked in January for the week of meals. For the ham bone I make lentil soup. Buying this way for lunch meat/dinners is sooooooooo much cheaper then buying lunch meat at the grocery store deli counter (which is at a ridiculous price of $16-$18 per pound crazy!!).

Saw a fist fight at Kroger yesterday cause some dude didnt like the fact , another guy was grabbing chicken at the same time his wife and kids were and the husband said some words to the guy. The guy by himself brushed him off, the husband swung, dude by himself swung back and hubby was lights out BALL GAME. Some dudes out there really need to learn the world doesnt revolve around their wife and kids, and dude found out the hard way and he was the only one that went to jail. GA is stand your ground, and solo dude did that and was not the aggressor since he swung last.

TN is a Permitless state, you only need to avoid the 4 Blue Counties. Carjackings at the Millington TN Kroger's, which is 15 miles away, from my Red County, they have a useless unarmed, out-of-shape Security Guard. We don't, Open Carry is common. I thank them.

went to kroger this morning (7-14-2023 friday) i bought pantiliners and "pride label" listerine mouthwash (they were on clearance) 3 frozen meals some cherries (1/4 lb.) 15 small brussell sprounts and 2 avocados.... spent $43.00!! that will have to hold me until august! am so glad that i stocked up on extra canned goods and noodles!

Yes, I've noticed this too! They are smaller and 2 less bars... I thought to myself when my store finally got them back in, "Oh wow, they are the same price still!" Welp, compared to the last box I had stored in the pantry they're not only smaller, and 2 less bars, but the ingredients are fewer as well 🤔😞

Good Morning Danno and Jess. Yes, Aldi's brioche buns are good but... Aldi's Croissant Buns are devine! They have plain and "Everything" seasoned croissant buns. I prefer plain especially lightly toasted, with cream cheese and sliced strawberries.

Peaches will ripen up on the counter. I like to pick mine from the tree when still hard. Have to get them before the squirrels, birds, and bugs eat them! So glad I planted an orchard

Had total sticker shock yesterday. 5 of my regular stock items increased in price by 10% to 20%. Will have to start price comparing with other local stores again. Was so distressed!

Dang thats an awesome deal for potatoes.. southern indiana here (cross the state line not to far)..just paid $5.69 at aldi.. and walmart they are almost $9 for 10 pounds. The bacon is ok for the center.. the butter is close to kerrygold.. not quite.. but still good

Enjoy your videos! All of them! Appreciate your information! Our Aldi's did not have good fresh produce when we tried some things a year ago. Aldi's is an every once in awhile stop. They did still have the 1 lb canned hams for under $3.50 on my trip the end of June. We really like their braunschweiger. Cats enjoy the canned cat food , my chickens like the Aldi dry cat food better than the grocery store brand. I add a bit to their supper meal to make sure they get a variety of proteins in their diet, especially in winter or like now when we are on week 3 of daily thunderstorms. Blessings from NW Florida!

I walked into Aldi basically for Romaine 3 packs...they still are the cheapest compared to other stores regular prices. Same with their fresh spinach bags as a regular price. The canned corned beef has gone up to over $5.xx . Everything keeps creeping up. The eggs are down to $0.97 for a dozen. The 1lb butter is $3.18. I have stayed away from their crackers a d cookies. They keep going up. The saltimes are now at $1.19. I get shocked at every store I go to when I check their prices. I mean, I know prices can go up, but they are going up to quick and by a lot and sizes are shrinking. We now make almost everything from scratch.

The funnel cake is good Danno and the tin the Cookie Crisp came in is a great storage tin , anytime you can buy a food item you like in a tin it’s great storage item so like getting 2 for the price of 1 item like holiday popcorn those tins are very large so flour and grains, beans in their bags, cornmeal all kinds of storage in those tins , and you can usually pick them up at yard sales for .50€. !! Yes, this wafers are excellent after dinner with a cup of coffee! We also love the "Continental" cookies they sell at Christmas with coffee. Just fun. No, the Irish butter isn't exactly like Kerrygold, but you are getting grass-fed butter, and that is good for you.

I wish Aldi would keep the gyros kits in the frozen foods section available year round. My husband and I love them but they’re only available sporadically. Any time I see them I get at least 4 of them and put them away in the up right freezer.

The beans could very likely be a harvest issue, and not a lack of product in the can. Depending on time of harvest, some beans can get very firm and be harder to rehydrate, leaving a firmer bean in the can after the canning process. Early beans will be softer, hot summer beans will be firmer. Im sure their production is the same across the board when it comes to canning them, same weight of beans to water in each can, as it's all assembly line and computer driven these days. I really wish Aldi would come back with their cream of celery soup. I loved that one.

The peaches that I bought that were good in the 2lb. bag were NOT the Farm Fresh ones you showed. I forget the brand but they said hand picked. They most likely have different brand ones depending what state you're in. I'm in WI.

No Aldi around these parts lol. NW WA Safeway had 32oz cheese for $4.97 limit 2, cream cheese bricks $1.99, Yoplait yogurts $.49. Not too many great sales this week. Fred Meyer has chicken $.89/lb, and 3 lb 80/20 ground beef buy one get one free.

I got the family sized honey nut Cheerios a couple weeks ago they just started getting them in. The bacon is good comparable to sugardale. Those peaches are like a white peach and were not too good. Also try the organic ketchup nocorn syrup in it.

Went to Aldi yesterday for milk. Noticed a few things that were cheaper than they have been. Half & Half went down to $2.55, gala apples were $3.49 for 3lbs. I weighed them and they were about 3.5lbs. Gallon of milk $2.91, down from 3.06, 4lb sugar 2.75. Not much of a haul but cheaper. Rome, GA Aldi.

Oh they have Cakebites in the Aldi finds!!! I was hoping that you would grab one of those to try. They are soooo good. The Italian Rainbow cookies. If they still have them when you go back, please pick up a pack. I think you will love them. We just bought some Bucatini pasta. last time we were there. My husband and I really like it.
