This video is about the Monza round of the 2019 Aston Martin Masters Endurance Legends, where all the endurance race cars and prototypes from 1995 till 2012 are eligible to compete in. Starting from this year, Aston Martin is the official automotive partner of this series and all the Masters Historic Racing events.
The Monza round was a support race to ELMS 4 Hours of Monza.

Audi vs Peugeot battles were among the best ever. 996 RSR sounds so mean. Personally I wish Porsche kept the sound of the 991 version like this, but the screaming version is good too.

All these different engine notes are awesome but no matter what I always get drawn to the deep grunt of a twin turbo V6. They just crackle so much on the down shifts...! Just reminds me of the beasts of 80’s motorsport...!

Thanks for the great footage. Starting watching sportscar racing in 2008. The Audi and Peugeot years were some of the greatest races I've ever seen in motorsport. The cars were fantastic back then. Particularly the lola aston. Its amazing how quick things change in what seems such a small space of time. Once again thanks for the video.

2:10 oh the memories that sound brings back; when you hear that from nearly 2 miles away across a car park on the way to a grand prix meeting. My brother took me to the British GP at Brands hatch 1983 and that was the first sound I remember of the day as we left the car and started our journey to the circuit. 6am on a Sunday morning and that was the sound you heard; not the dawn chorus of birds; oh no; the sweet revving of a highly tuned racing engine.

I adore the Lola Aston Martin, the Lola V10 Judd, the Vantage V12 GT3, the 458 GTE, The Oreca FLM, the Porsche 996 RSR and that Pilbeam V6 sound so good for a turbo car. Glorious sounding era. The last of the unrestricted engines by environnement regulations (except the boring 908).

@@georgejakob1451 Actually this IS a DB9 engine. The DBR-1 received the engine of the DBR9 GT1 car which is derived from a stock DB9 engine. So yes it is a DB9 engine
