And Brett always had to come up and say something to sour the moment, Brett was all over the place in Match game and her humor was always too bitter all the time.
This show has magic like no other So very natural and the fun flows right through the TV to the audience I’m so very happy to see this show again on GSN with all the seventies regulars and guests Just wonderful Thanks so much for bringing these fantastic shows back for us to see once more Just love them
I agree, but McLean and Betty were on two of the greatest shows ever produced (M*A*S*H and The Golden Girls), and Richard Dawson charmed the pants off America on the largely unscripted Family Feud.
@@dmnemaine I should add an "IMO" to my original comment as MTM is not on my personal list of the greatest shows ever produced, but I thought it was implied as this is RU-vid-Lol-a forum for the spouting of bias and nonsense (frequently by me 🙃).
Great job posting these in sequence of airing. So often there is one episode and no follow-up or conclusion so one never knows who won the game. I remember watching these years ago and seeing them now brings back good memories of my youth. Thanks...
Glad to find this. Neat to see Nancy Dussault doing her rendition of a baby bear's voice. Sounds sort of like her witch voice that she did much later in Into the Woods.
McLean Stephenson Is The BEST! i would WEAR THAT COAT TODAY WITH THAT TIE!(03.08.19; he absolutely should of been THE REGULAR STAR of Match Game! 🌞 llove Brother brent!
Exit??? Exit? Just when I was really trying to like the guy, cuz everyone else seemed to. Thought I might be missing something, thought I'd give him benefit of the doubt. But then he said exit. Unbelievable.
Why did my comment about McLean and M*A*S*H get posted 10 times? Has anyone else had a problem with redundancies? I can't delete them ... sorry, fellow Match Game 73 enthusiasts.
Ellen looks very severe, like a dominatrix (my wife said like a vampire), or like she is NOT interested in all the falderal that occurred prior to her appearance; the way she affirmly states "I'M MARRIED" seemed to imply 'so no shenanigans for me!'
@@originalformulamusic I agree. Plus in next episode she showed more emotions AND she showed that beautiful smile more often which brings to mind that a little goes a long way. She reminds me of the modest women on Gunsmoke. ..
At around the 13:00 mark... Is this the first time a contestant got risque with a panelist? (and I'm not talking about the innocent kisses with Richard Dawson)
The question so specifically said the caveman and his four friends, so I'm racking my brain trying to think of what five people do together. What sports team or game or something you need to play with 5 people.
Charlene looks much better, lovely even, in today's getup vs. yesterday's atrocity. Candy looks better, too. But Charlene still fashion-blundering with those horrid, white shoes. Ugh! Off course, in the Seventies, she wasn't alone; her and many other gals sported clunky-looking white shoes of varying 'styles.'
SPOILER ALERT: The episode of M*A*S*H when Lt. Col. Henry Blake was killed off makes me weep, although Col. Potter was a wonderful replacement C.O. who changed the tone of the show. It became more of a dramedy at that point. To this day, I can not watch the series finale ... when Col. Potter said goodbye to his horse, I fell apart - I think I saw it once when it was aired in syndication later in the '80s, but when it was available on Netflix, I binge-watched all 11 seasons except for that final episode. I continue to enjoy M*A*S*H no matter how many times I've seen an episode (it's on at least two channels on basic cable almost daily). The only 20th Century series I love more is The Golden Girls. McLean and Betty make a helluva right side of the panel. I bet they had no idea those sit-coms would make them immortal. I'm hoping Betty White really is. (Yes - I realize The Golden Girls wasn't even a twinkle in Susan Harris' eye in 1973, and M*A*S*H was only in its first season.)
Actually, M*A*S*H* was in its second season when this episode aired. It premiered in September of '72. This episode aired during the '73-'74 season of M*A*S*H*.
Jamison-Jones, round 1, question A: "She was alone in the cottage, and you are a sicko. DREAMING." (Bzzt!) Question B: "All I know is, if *I* were a medieval warrior-king who had a tame dragon, I'd use it as a MEDIEVAL-STYLE F-16." (Bzzt!) Round 2, question A: "Do I want to know what kind of dance it is that requires two navels?… No, I bid one FAN." (Bzzt!) Super Match, part 1: (if asked before Richard) BETTY (if asked after Richard) MRS. Part 2: WIFE Jamison-Hoey, round 1, question B: "Naturally, first the luggage, then the PERSON." (Ding!) Question A: "He and the other four got together, and the world's first FIVE-MAN BAND was born." (Bzzt!)
Brett got it right with her answer furnace, good Lord, Candy musta not understood the exotic dancer question. Once again Brett got it right with the world's first party
What is wrong with the contestant, audience and Nancy? Goldilocks was a CHILD. There's something wrong with the judges as well. "Fooling around" and "making love" obviously both mean having sex, it should have been a match just like it has been in the past and will be in future episodes. Then the other contestant answers "navel" for her question lol. Why would an exotic dancer want more than one belly button? There's no benefit to that and her audience would just be freaked out by it. Then McLean says "exit" which is obviously not spelled with a hyphen. That really sucks, the contestant gave a good answer. They should have given her another try since her chosen celebrity didn't follow the rules. This was a bad episode.
ROFL! Another fine after dinner episode! ;0) ROFL! Love ya Gene! :0) ROFL! Love ya Betty! ;0) ROFL! Love ya McLean! ;0) I am a little short for tomorrow's show so we see what happens tomorrow.. 3:10 The thing is Goldie-Locks Did Sleep in Baby-Bear's bed . Momma Bear's bed was too soft, Daddy Bear's bed was too hard,, but Baby Bear's bed was Just Right .

@@sdlively27 Almost always. Sometimes even two videos playing at once (one is usually music). Thank you for the advice! I think it has also happened when I copy-n-paste text, but I can't say for sure. But multiple tabs are probably the actual culprit. Thanks again!
@@annika_panicka I think if you refresh the youtube page it will let you delete the extra and sometimes it won't.. This happen when I got more than one season of MG going and a video with the theme running.. ;0)

Don't you wonder why Alan Alda did a bad job with his directing and acting? At that point I quit. The show was worse, Alan should have done just the acting. Double duty was a bad deal for Alan. His huge ego to me was what did the show in. My opinion only, peace.
