Richard scores his 66th H/H match today. At the end of the week, only Betty and Richard were chosen. Betty failed to match twice, and Richard's hot streak brings his accuracy score up to its highest point yet. (For a second I thought the contestant would choose Mary Ann for the head-to-head match...) Here's the updated leader board showing the 10 celebs with at least 3 H/H matches, ranked by accuracy: TIE: Orson Bean - 100% (3 wins in 3 attempts). TIE: Joyce Bulifant - 100% (3 wins in 3 attempts). Jo Anne Worley - 75% (3 wins in 4 attempts). Betty - 50% (13 wins in 26 attempts). Fannie - 46.2% (6 wins in 13 attempts). Charles - 45.7% (16 wins in 35 attempts). Jo Ann Pflug - 44.4% (8 wins in 18 attempts). Richard - 35.5% (66 wins in 186 attempts). Bert - 33.3% (5 wins in 15 attempts). Brett - 32.1% (9 wins in 28 attempts). *These stats include every head-to-head match from episode 1 through 385, excluding the lost/missing episodes: 31, 32, 33, 311, 312, 313, 324, 325. (As per MatchGameProductions, these episodes "are nowhere to be found and also aren't in the Goodson/Todman Library. Sadly, looks like they are lost forever!")
But around 8:02 when Brett tells Mary Ann “don’t cry”, Gene is starting to read the question, Mary Ann says “what?” and Richard , already concentrating on his answer, shushes her!
According to IMDB, Onionhead was a 1958 movie about a 1941, Oklahoma college graduate, who joins the US Coast Guard and serves as a cook on a ship based in Boston. Another Gomer Pyle USMC type movie that Andy Griffith was so good at making. (Remember "No Time For Sergeants"?)
Richard looks like my 8th grade math teacher here, with that beard. I can't remember his last name, but I know his first name was Robert. He would tease me and the rest of the kids in class, and they would call him, "Captain Caveman" behind his back, because he sort of looked like one. He even talked like him and had that nutty sense of humor!
@@donna2676 OMG, looking at him, a slight resemblance to Jack Nicholson, but when he spoke--! That voice, that enunciation really sounded like a spot-on impersonation of a younger Jack Nicholson!
Of course he did! Everyone knows that kangaroos don't have sleeves in which to hide their aces. Seemed like a very obvious answer to me, but none of them went there.
@@amberola1b I don't remember disliking him here back when, maybe because I had a whole day of life in between shows, but now, geez! He makes me want to do things I've never done to anyone before, and not in a good way. Smarmy little self-satisfied zit.
My mom thought Richard Dawson was annoying on Family Feud because he was always kissing the women. She would have *really* thought he was annoying if she'd seen this episode of Match Game!
Considering the female contestants on this show wanted to kiss him after they win , she shouldn't be surprised. No sane man would turn down a kiss from an attractive woman.
Saint Richard WAS annoying on this game (I wouldn't even WATCH Family Feud when he took over) Of course I won't watch now with Steve Harvey either.... a man claiming to be a Christian and swears and uses filthy language, no thanks (he's too much of a hypocrite for me)
