Starbucks unveiled this matcha espresso fusion, created specifically for the Asian market, in late 2016. I was very intrigued by this beautiful layered drink and wanted to give it a try. I love drinking coffee and matcha latte separately, but wondered how it would taste when they are combined together. It is the BOMB and I'll definitely make this regularly!
Ingredients
2 tbsp hot water (175F / 80C)
1 tsp matcha green tea powder
3 tsp simple syrup [1:1 water to sugar] or honey
1/4 cup milk
1 cup ice
1/4 cup espresso
