@@elecklyle8408 Well Jesus is a great character but it almost feels unfair to compare him to the rest of the cast since it’s not that hard to mess up a character like Jesus so long as you get a good actor to play him. Plus he’s the main character, and the main character is often going to get most of the screen time and best writers working on him. Meanwhile characters like Matthew and some of the other side characters are a little harder cause they don’t get as much noterietay and so it’s more impressive when they are done well compared to a character like Jesus who has years of history and worship for people to know him and know why he’s interesting and complex

Have you considered that maybe people are laughing because they know exactly how he feels. Imagine someone in our time from a first world nation wakes up in Matthew’s situation. I know if I were dropped into that climate I would be just as fearful, self conscious, and awkward as Matthew is and I’m not even Autistic

As someone who is on the spectrum, I try not to take myself too seriously. As long as edits like this are created in good humor and aren’t made to disrespect autistic people, I’m cool with it. 😎

I'm undiagnosed but suspect myself to be somewhere on the spectrum -- and I think this is great. We love Matthew because he's so relatable. He was instantly my favorite.
