Gary England, one of the premier if not the best meteorologists in the world. He is the lifeline to the people in the path of this tornado, which, by the way KILLED people in Bridge Creek and Moore, Oklahoma. Val and Amy helped him to make sure people knew the needed to be underground.

I kept wondering when you said Gary... 'could he actually be talking to the legendary Mr. England himself?' but didn't think that was REALLY the case. Wow. So was he on-air basically that whole time while talking to you guys? Its crazy watching Jeff Piotroski's video of the same event and comparing the vid quality and the tech you guys were using to what is in use now. At one point in Jeff's video the people on the spotter radio freq tell him or someone else to call 911 from a landline to report a location!

I think Gary called in to work that day. Seriously though, such awesome power. An EF 5 tornado can take the lives of even those who do everything right. That is a power you must respect. If you hear sirens, get underground if you can. If you cannot get underground, protect yourself the best you can and prepare for your afterlife. A direct hit above ground from an EF 4 or 5 tornado is something you are unlikely to survive. Pay close attention to watches in your area, and do not take warnings lightly. You cannot predict when the big one might hit. Always better safe than sorry, or worse.
