Mazda 323 BD PremiumX 1/43 diecast models x2

Two Mazda 323 BD models in 1/43 scale in this video. One is in Triple9 box and the other in Whitebox box, but both are made by PremiumX.
I've made some modifications to both of them, but I show few photos about them in original condition too. Took those pics in 2016, when I bought these models.
In the early 80's, the manufacturer was still known as Toyo Kogyo, until later in the 80's it changed it's name to Mazda Motor Corporation. In it's homeland Japan, the car was known as a Mazda Familia. Americans know it as a Mazda GLC (Great Little Car) and in Australia, with some cosmetic changes, it was known as a Ford Laser :)

Thank you very much :) Most modelcar collector's collect supercars and other rare, exotic cars. I'm the different guy in this topic too and collect usually everyday cars :D This car is special though for me, as it's been twice a 1/1 car in my life. First as a kid in the 80's it was my parents car, then in the 90's another 323 was my first car I drove for years.

Interesting, so WhiteBox (a brand of Model Car World in Germany) and Triple9 (a brand of The Diecast Company in Netherlands) are just ordering special these models at IXO (as Premium-X is a brand of IXO). Good catch about the actual difference of the tail lights - the facelifted version looked as best. It's sometimes sad if the models shall show facelift and pre-facelift but keeping a detail of the other version. I noticed that also at the Audi 80 B2 from Norev - they first created the 1978 model and then later the facelift of 1985 but only changed the tail lights but kept the front design of the pre-facelift. At least the tail lights were better in proportions of the facelifted version. Sadly sometimes a few details are just done wrong. But still very nice models.

Interesting info about the Triple9 and Whitebox, thanks :) Both models have PremiumX stamped at their floorboard. I've also seen at ebay at least green and silver version available outside EU, with clear cornerlights, so perhaps this casting was originally intended to be the facelifted 1983-85 version, but for some reason EU release got the orange corner lights, which are wrong. Sometimes it indeed looks like some modelcar companies don't do their homework properly, so models end up being a mix and match combinations of pre- and post -facelift cars, which is annoying. In this day and age, there are so much information available, it's hard to understand why these things still happen.

they both looks fantastic u did some very nice accurate modifications next step is your aftermarket hubcaps ;-D btw im currently doing a custom on a hot wheels and if it turn out how I want I think u might like the end result

Thanks :) Heh those hubcaps, well, these models don't have rusty steel wheels so no need for them :D Looking forward to see what you've done to the Hotwheels car :)

Thanks for the question and yes they do have rolling wheels, as the most of the models in my collection :)
