Woah, Mac singing Food Folks and Fun! I honestly love that commercial with Ronald just because that song is actually really groovy for a few seconds. I would’ve loved to see Mac sing that part.
In around 23 days it will be a year since the original upload of Quebec Spinning Burger so it’s nice to see that another mythic ad is found in the span of another 11 months
It's a very interesting find! This obviously would have been shortly after they were sued, so it looks like they attempted to continue airing Mac Tonight using a new song (which evidently didn't take off as well as the original).
@@MacTonight8 it was still actually very good though, I loved it! its not blast back with mac levels of good, but nothing compares to blast back with mac so, yeah.
@@MacTonight8 also I don't think this was the replacement, I think this one was a one time thing deliberately, kind similar to this ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CZs0PFjX9cI.html
@@cumminglikeahorse It may have been - whether they got sued or not, they likely would have created a new song regardless as they had just phased out the "Good time, great taste" slogan and introduced the "Food, folks and fun" slogan. But I have a feeling that, if they hadn't have been sued, they still would have kept the Mack the Knife tune in this commercial.
CITYSCAPE EXISTS I TOLD YOU AND YOU DIDN'T BELIEVE ME Also, this video has nearly as many liked as my THIRD COMPILATION, which isn't meant to happen. Please watch and like my compilation if you haven't already: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gv2kWPahejs.html
Thanks for posting never ever seen this one. Must of been after the estate lawsuit. Can you find those silly el pollo loco commercials where they poke fun at all the other fast food chains? Still looking for those.
I don't know why but this is the only Mac tonight commercial where I thought Mac looked scary Maybe there was a different costume I don't know. What ever the case is this.. creeps me out
I was wondering this myself, honestly - I haven’t been able to find it in TV recordings at all. However, there was a still from the commercial in a couple of newspaper articles, which I assume suggests it was broadcasted. It was likely only aired in certain areas - similarly, the 1997 commercials were only aired in some states and they’re very difficult to find in TV recordings (3/4 of the recordings we have of them are master tapes from people who worked on them).
If you’re ever able to get them digitalised and uploaded that’d be great - I’m making a list of every source I find for each commercial (and dates, etc - Roller Coaster is surprisingly rare). If you find any extended cuts / new commercials in your tapes, let me know. :)
