MCETO Hot Tent Review - Always Check Gear Before Going Camping

Thanks, Steve. That may be something I will want to try, not sure, but it will be nice to be able to just get out and do a weekend trip whenever Jerod and I want to do it. That is one reason I bought the tent, the company, DEERFAMY, sent me the tent to review and I decided I have to have a tent. I did the review of the stove back last fall, just set it up in the back yard, made a pot of coffee on it and really liked it. Now the stove is quite heavy when all packed up, so don't know if I would want to hike a mile or more into the wilderness carrying that stove. LOL Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie

So far, Jr, I am pleased with it. Yesterday, Mother's Day, when Jerod and his family came over to visit Brenda, he and I went out and looked at it. He likes it so much he is talking about getting one himself. We had some rain Saturday evening late, and Sunday morning I got up and checked the inside of the tent and had no water inside the tent. Now of course, I believe that something like this you would do like your hunting blinds, give it a coat of that spray on water repellant to make sure it stays waterproof. Especially around the seams. Today is Monday, and I may take it down, or maybe leave it up until Tuesday. I have some other gear that I need to test, but it isn't as important as the tent was. Thanks for watching and commenting. Thanks, Matt. Well, it has been a long, long time since I tent camped. In fact, I believe it was 30 years ago that Brenda, the boys and I, went to Sherwood Lake in May and camped in a big domed tent for about 5 days. It was so much fun. Of course, I am 30 years older now and don't know if tent camping is for me anymore, but I am going to give it a try. When I got the tent stove from DEERFAMY last year, I made up my mind I wanted a hot tent. Well, this one was within my budget, so here it is. As I mentioned to Brenda, and to Jerod, this would be for a overnight campout or a weekend campout. Jerod loves the idea, go for a weekend campout along a stream and maybe do a little fishing. We might even take up to camp and go to one of the rustic (no charge) campsites along the creek that has trout. Man, now that would be great. Jerod saw the tent for the first time yesterday when he and his family came over for Mother's Day, he was impressed and even talked about possibly getting him one. We will just have to wait and see. Jason, I am really pleased with the tent. It rained Saturday evening, and I checked it Sunday morning to see if there weren't any water spots on the floor. Nope!! So, I know it doesn't leak, but like anything, that is waterproof, I will probably get a can of waterproofing spray and spray it like I do my hunting blinds. Thanks for watching and commenting. John, I really like it so far. Here it is Tuesday and I still have the tent up. It rained Saturday evening, and I checked it on Sunday and had no water in the tent. I totally understand, John, don't know if me and the ground will get along or not. I did buy one of those small inflatable sleeping pad. Dan, this thing is nice. I would have liked to have gotten one that was taller, of course, that taller ones have a larger footprint as well. But at least a person could stand up in it and even put that MTRVR chair I have in it. But this is more for getting out of the rain and sleeping, so it is perfect. Most people who go camping are out in the woods or on the river 90% of the time anyway. Yes, if you were going on a weekend hunt somewhere that you didn't want to drag a camper, this would be ideal for that. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie

Well, I have a good excuse, I am getting old! 😂😂 Bought this tent back in January or February and I wanted to check it out before Jerod and I would do a weekend camp out. Also, since DEERFAMY sent me the tent stove to review, it made sense to get a tent. My goodness they are expensive!! I found this one on TEMU, it was either 79 or 89 when I bought it. Last night it rained and I checked this morning and it hadn’t leaked. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie

Thanks! So far, I am really pleased with this tent, Jimmy. It rained Saturday night and on Sunday I checked for any leaks and found no water on the tent floor or on the stove from the stove jack. Thanks, Todd. Yes the tent is waterproof, in fact I will have an update video coming out Saturday. The tent has been up now since Saturday and it has rained at least twice since then. No water found on the tent floor. The seams have seam tape on the inside and are double stitched. The tent stove I did a review on last fall, it was sent to me from DEERFAMY to do a review. It is that video that made me decide to get a hot tent. This one was in my budget. I bought it from TEMU, but the company MCETO also sales them on Amazon. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie

Absolutely, Cornbread. I have a spool of nylon twine and some extra tent stakes, so I was able to solve that problem. Yes, for the price, you can't beat it. I do wish it was one of the larger ones that you could stand up in, but this is a shelter, to get you out of the weather and to sleep. When camping, you're going to be outside about 90% of the time. It rained Saturday night, and on Sunday I checked to see if anything had standing water on it, like the floor or the tent stove. All was dry!! That was great. But I will probably get some waterproofing spray and apply a coat or two just to make sure. I had a viewer get upset because I purchased some items from TEMU, but I told him that show something you buy at Walmart that is made strictly in the USA. Don't think you will find much. Jerod and I may plan a trip to deer camp, and camp along a trout stream up there and do a weekend getaway. That would be fun. Thanks for watching and commenting. Juddie
