Beautiful and lusty song written by the one and only Jim Steinman, the finest lyricist/composer in the world and I love how meat sings it....him and Jim together again = pure magic !!
Beautiful, Jim has done it again. A power ballad with the Steinman characteristics that we all know and love. Meat's delivery gives the song the passion it needs. This is, without a doubt, a musical masterpiece.
Jim is a one in a billion... How he can write songs! Most songs from the new album are very good, and 'Going all the way is just the start' is a masterpiece, again. To me, that song might be on the same level as let's say 'Objects in the rear view mirror may appear closer than they are' (what a title again haha) and 'Rock and roll dreams come through', from the album Bad out of Hell 2. Yeah, 'Going all the way is just the start' remembers me of that album, which is my favorite album of all time. But the level of 'Anything for Love' will never be reached again for me, that one is too special and is my personal favorite song. Jim Steinman, Meat, I love you!
I prefer this song to Braver than We Are, but okay, it's just a matter of personal preference. Both have their charms, and the album's well realised. Meat says that the only thing he'll do now is a xmas album, so it looks like it's over.… very well, for what a saga it has been! I just want to catch the Bat Out of Hell musical, and that will be fine for me.
Beautiful .. Thank you Jim Steinman & Meat Loaf , You guys just go together so well............So grateful for your Rock n Roll dreams... They do come true with you guys together.
"Objects in the rear view mirror..." and "Cheating in your dreams" are the best and my all time favourite songs of all artist's. This song grows on me the more i listen to it... like "Im gonna love her for both of us", "You took the words right out of my mouth" did. Nothing compares to meatloaf and Jim Steinman combination. absolutely amazing.
Lewis Walker I'm Gonna Love Her For Both Of Us is a pretty deep cut, but I like it. The structure seems a bit simpler here though. I'd liken it to a leaner Two Out of Three Ain't Bad.… or maybe Lost Boys and Golden Girls, perhaps that's it.
Ouch how it hurts to know how we have wronged?????.. but my Creator is even greater than the unwilling heart in me.. seek and you will find..but you will find what one seeks..
...Brilliant... Absolutely Brilliant... Beautifully put together, Jim Steinman really does Write THE Amazing Lyrics! and Stacy Michelle Has such a Beautiful and powerful Voice. And Meat you "never let us your Fans down"... Ever! Just Close your eyes - listen to this Track "Speaking in Tongues" and you can Feel the words that came from your lips. (Such a Powerful Song) and So Moving!! Whenever you Perform Live or at the Studio over all these years, We can "Feel" and "Believe" every word you Sing with your "Heart", "Body", "Mind" and "Soul" in the Music you Present with so much "Passion". All you have to do is "listen" again to the Lyrics on this Song and how Meat you present with so much Emotion - You Brings the Lyrics Alive from Deep within.. Thank You Meat so Much for letting "Me" and the World enjoy you for all these years "We got to let our voices soar - More than any song we've ever sung, - It's time that we start speaking in tongues.." ...Brilliant...
when i heard first the BRAVER THAN WE ARE ALBUM i was a bit clueless if I liked it or not. Actually I did not much for me at the very beginning. But something kept me listen to it again and again and suddenly I felt that the album started to grow on me. maybe after 3 - 4 days i realized that this is a very pleasent album which i highly enjoy and appreciate. certainly different from the other big steinman/meat loaf albums but a real delight. what's still missing now is a steinman/tyler album to make the story complete :-)
The text in the video is slightly off- Meat sings "It's that time to start a fire." The video omits "that". It's an easy mistake but a mistake nonetheless. When he says 'that time', I think we know instinctively which time and what kind of fire is being started.
Carl Haydock you obviously don't really know Steinman... "Can't you see my faded Levi's bursting apart...." Classic boner line from For Crying Out Loud. He's been doing it forever, it's just more obvious here. It's different than the classic stuff is all, and if you don't appreciate it you're not a true fan of Meat and Jim.
