I live in Portugal and sometimes I see these guys basking in the Summer. Very cool lizard! Very skittish and super fast though... good luck with him.

He really could use some substrate to dig in, a Paper towel just WILL NOT be enough. YOU seem really caring towards him & want the best for him, so I'm sure you will improve his conditions, but the quicker you do it, the sooner he will become more comfortable. Which should make him less stressed, which just makes him more skittish & more prone to hide when you are around. So it ends up being a benefit for you as well. Good luck with him & congratulations!!!

sjl1327 thank you for commenting and being so nice about your suggestions - much appreciated! 😂 Shortly after this video I actually uploaded an enclosure upgrade video for him - so this isn’t the enclosure he’s in anymore! He has lots of substrate for digging and a larger enclosure 🤗 and even now I have more plans to upgrade him again soon - I’m in the process of applying to jobs, so once I get one and move, my top priority is giving everyone massive upgrades 😄

EverythingCREATED awww I’m so sorry to hear that! Mine has some kinks at the end of his tail that he came with so I’m not sure if he just did some damage to his tail or if he wasn’t getting proper UVB from the vendor.

Aqui en España esta prohibido en cautividad, ni criarlos ni nada, yo tuve uno porque estaba herido, hasta que lo cure y lo volvi a soltar. Son muy rapidos y no les gusta la gente, aunque supongo que al criarlos desde pequeños en cautividad seran mas tranquilos. Lo que son tambien es muy voraces.... Un saludo de España.....

Puggle2235 I plan on doing care guides for all of my animals, but I wait until I’ve had the animal for a while and I’m completely confident in their care. He’s one of my newer animals still and I’m still working in his care and learning everything I can. One day though, I’ll have a care guide 🤗
