Lol I was like 9 the funny thing was that I was a rock fan because my dad loved Rock he listen to like ACDC and Metallica and kiss and bands like that he also listened to a little bit of Green Day but what's even funnier is that I fell in love with green day before I even knew who green day was because I would love it when Boulevard of Broken Dreams came on the radio never knew the name of the song but I loved it lol
ok.. question... ... is it just me, or does the Irony of the place where they made this broadway really fucking coincidental.. or did they do that on purpose... a nickname adaptation for "Jimmy" is James.. and Likewise for "James" to for "Jimmy" ... ... um.. St. James theatre.... .. St, Jimmy theatre... correct me if I'm wrong.. but thats fucking hislariously awesome. =P
My only complaint is St Jimmy's hair. I know it sounds dumb, but the other guy's hair (from the Jesus of Suburbia video) just fit better in my opinion.
You should do a musical of the story in 3 Cheers. Cuz that actually has a really cool storyline. Its about like some guy who sold his soul and needs to kill a bunch of people to save his wife or something
seriously the best musical ever... I seriously cried when I got my tickets. these guys are on a rolll.. a musical and now 3 albums in 4 months... Fuck yeah. :D
I saw it this year in April, what I really love is that every show there's a little something different happening and the one I saw had a different Jimmy
it's an amazing show. i'm not even that big a follower of green day and i only knew like 5 songs at most by them when i went but i loved it...the energy is incredible, the cast fantastic, and music great, everything really :)
The more I see about it, the more I wish I could have seen it. Sadly though, I live in the Netherlands and I can;t just hop on and make 16-hour plane-ride for a musical... Why, Green Day, Why?! Couldn't you have made a dvd of this? I want to see it too!
I haven't seen the musical yet, but I have the soundtrack. When I first listened to JoS it was like listening to all the different emotions of my mind screaming at me. When I listened to BoD and WMUWSE I fucking cried. When I listened to Jimmy I literally felt like electricity was flowing through my veins. And when I listened to Homecoming I looked back on all the shit that has happened in my young life, and the sad part about that is Im only 18
I want to see this so bad! The other day I totally freaked because my mom said we couldn't afford it. I screamed and burst into tears then took everything off my bookshelves and told her I would sell it all on eBay to pay for the trip. She just laughed. She doesn't get how much I love this band and this musical, how it makes me feel like someone finally gets what goes through my head. I feel like Jonny a lot
Johnny: "Ugh, my parents don't get me, so I moved to the city and filled myself with as much heroin as I have angst." Will: "Ugh, I'm stuck in this small town with my pregnant girlfriend who loves me, so I became an alcoholic until everyone left me for better lives." Tunny: "THE IRAQIS TOOK MY LEG!"
fuuckkk that tunny guy has a great voice I've seen a lot of stuff relating to this before but it was when I was really young since my dad was into it, im trying to learn all i can about it now that im old enough to remember it ahahaha
I feel a little bit like a fake fan, I had no idea songs off 21st century breakdown were on the soundtrack!! thats what im here to learn though! :) Plus, it's a great album, so i've no protests
Tue but the quality isn't the best. And while I'm happy that I'm able to see it like this, I would have loved the great quality a dvd would have provided us with. It's just not fair that we don't get to see it in the best possible because, we don't live in America. It happens with a lot of things and it just really sad at times.
cannot wait for this to come to the west end granted i think the broadway cast is better but i hope it is a good rock musical they already have great music
@7leintje93 It shouldnt be on DVD yet...BJA said he would be playing St.Jimmy for a week...thats the version that should gon on DVD. And the actress for whatshername scares me
