I have to agree with someone else in the comment section, who brung to my attention a Vet with a disability sustained while in service especially the loss of limbs would recieve over 2600 a month and could easily recieve other benefits. I am a former Marine Im 80% disabled (finesse) and I receive 1667 monthly. Hmmm seems fishy just a little bit. A junkie will say anything for a pity party that will result in him getting his way!

You also have to remember that they commented that everyone is on some drug addiction. And the vet even acknowledged that the reason he’s in this situation and the way his relationship with his family is they way it is was his fault. Even his best friend fessed up to all of this stemming from their addiction. So even if he is getting money, you have to think about the possibility that it may be being spent on drugs. And even if it’s not, it’s possible it’s going towards invisible expenses we can’t see (if you want to be optimistic) such as check ups or visits concerning his health as a simple urgent care without insurance can easily stack up especially if you want preventative care. The one I work it to be seen alone is 120. Including being treated for the ONE issue. I’ve seen medication that’s supposed to be “affordable” wound up being $1000 alone. He also mentioned that he’s looking out for a few people, so it possible he’s not using what he does earn for just himself. This is just me playing devils advocate though. I don’t know their life. But it’s something to think about.

The idea that this guy is a homeless vet ain't out of the question. Besides that fact to put this dudes homelessness entirely on him would be like looking at all the ppl in the ghetto and telling them that their situation is entirely on them and there fault, from gangs to petty crime, which would be silly. More so it's just the case that our exploitative system is rittled with cracks that ppl like this dude fall through, just because someone has a decent experience serving our authoritarian government doesn't mean everyone has that experience.
