I really couldn't find a better ending theme in the whole video games history, this is one of the most amazing, peaceful and saddest piece of music I've ever heard.
This is one of my favorites. With that said, here are some of my other favs for video game ending themes. Some are great for being sad or melancholy while others are great for being really uplifting. Anyone else, feel free to add your own. Megaman 2 Megaman 3 Super Mario Bros 2 - I'm partial to the one that plays while dead wart is being passed around, it's so triumphant! MegaMan X3 staff roll theme, while X is running and the credits are rolling - this one is very upbeat but in such an innocently idealistic way it can bring you to tears just the same. Super Street Fighter II staff roll theme (this often is only shown when beating the game on a high difficulty) Sonic the Hedgehog 2 - tails rescues Sonic out of the sky with the plane Zelda II - credits theme - this theme sounds very heroic to me, like they knew just how difficult this game really was Super Mario 64 - credits theme Zelda Ocarina of time - credits theme (also very beautiful and sad, may be my all time favorite ending) Little Nemo Dream Master ending cutscene theme has a beautiful sad tone to it too. Star Fox 64 - the music in that game was beautiful all the way through, ending no exception MegaMan X5 credits theme You can tell I tend to hover around the big trademark franchises.
I feel like this theme captures various stages of grief all the way through acceptance. It's eerie and creepy in the beginning. Seeing a death has to be surreal and nightmarish. Its sad but you try to put it in perspective as best you can. But the memories of them remain in the back of your mind, haunting you. Maybe you could have done something different that would have prevented all this. At some points you wail that it cant be, that they couldn't have left you. How can you go on without them? Finally, you come to rest with their memory in your heart knowing their story is now complete. Truly a heartbreaking masterpiece.
@@supegoguetassj400 Sure, but this song applies so much to varoius facets of X's life. He went on fighting alone without his best friend for nearly a century, finally creating a peaceful Utopia that he had always dreamed for a while, but he felt so tired. Lots of lingering guilt as well. Who else in the world understands him as well as he would other than the only other "non-Reploid" who was built to focus on him (originally to destroy, but ironically choosing his own path in helping and befriending who was supposed to be his greatest enemy).
It was in Summer 2001 I beated this game with my little sister...Everything was so simple and happy back then and we go watch some cartoons too but this Music is still in our hearts tangling I just love it
Happy old times were no more, we live through pain and suffering After we grow up, so many things happening Lost friends, friends betrayal, lost love, financial failure, career struggle, old family members started to die out, world surround you full of despair. Everything went so downhill, is no longer a good life, too much drinking to try to forget the past that haunts you.
This is the best farewell song ever heard, better than Au Lang Syne. Imagine playing this in your last day of preschool, middle school and high school when you are about to lose your closest friends to anonymity and they went to separate schools.
This game gave me more questions than answers like: 1) Why didn't the maverick bosses who haven't yet completely lost their mind let X have the parts as well as let themselves be deactivated instead of fighting X/Zero before they went completely mad. 2) Why did X decided to fight Zero for a stupid reason like refusing to go back to the Headquarters? 3) Who was Sigma referring to during his final fight with X/Zero? If it was Dr Willy then how did he met him or how was he still alive despite a century passing.
Eu jogava esse jogo com um amigo... Amávamos a franquia principalmente o x5...
Y'all gonna laugh at me. This was the The first MegaMan X game I beaten And didn't know X and Zero were Robots and though they were human wearing armor.
X5 was supposed to be the ending to the x series... starts with X and zero being there for eachother.. ends with zero dying and X fighting for zero with his z saber
boi boi That's the good ending. The bad ending was supposed to be the canonical one so it would lead to X becoming a maverick and thus the final boss of the first Megaman Zero.
@@sergiogonzales330 if we ignore X6, there's no canonic ending. See that X5 was published on 2000, X6 on 2001 and Megaman Zero on 2002. So the canonic one is the good ending where zero "dies" and X uses his z saber. Also in megaman X6, the zero ending tells he went to an ibernation capsule to sleep for a century(I think) and this was made to link megaman X to the oncoming megaman zero(that was actually made by inti creates, nor capcom). But, we know, it's all a big mess, because Capcom fucked with keiji and all.
@@sergiogonzales330 Fun fact about that ending though during the Development of Megaman zero there was changes to X becoming evil( because inti creates didnt like it for the kids) they changed it to Copy X and added ciel into the plot. X6 pretty much was just need ed to change the bad ending of X5 into the good ending tbh.
One of most beautiful games that I have ever played , still remember the old amazin feeling when I just finshed from this game and this start beginning ^-^
I was out of the country on a school trip, when I came back my mom told me we moved and in the new house I had nothing but my PS2 a fan and a blow up mattress from Wal Mart and I remember laying on the floor playing this game and when Zero died and this came on I just rolled over and started crying lol I was a Junior in high school
@@quimistrohavoc7599 super late but x6 is still the now cannon ending. The events of zero sealing himself just happen after the events of x7-8 but that is the cannon transition to the elf wars and z series
Not really. There hasnt been a canon ending yet. Unless they make a game that tells the Elf Wars and it's conclusion then it is the canon ending for real. Remember due to X6-8 Inafune had to retcon some stuff in the Zero series as X5 WAS going to be the end of the X series so yeah X6-8 are canon according to Capcom. The only one that perhaps might not be canon is Command Mission.
@@virtualpellot933 such thing 'll never exist, this is what u have: Zero series follow X5 bad ending. X series after 6 follow X5 good ending. Elf wars don't exist in the X saga and never will, u don't have a true cannon what u have are two temporary lines, multiversus if u want
I never cared about justice, and I don't recall ever calling myself a hero... I have always only fought for the people I believe in. I won't hesitate... If an enemy appears in front of me, I will destroy it!"
I've always loved this song. I was so surprised to hear this on a video game (that's when I looked up music to all my favorite games and I just love video game music now...lol) Thanks for the upload! Whoever composed this song needs to be given a medal or something because this is absolutely beautiful.
Back when I played this game in the summer of 2001, it had such a feeling of finality. Back then, it truly felt like the end. The downbeat ending, and this song would have been a perfect end for the saga.
i hate inafune for finishing the series here, this was a depressing ending and theme, exactly the same happened in metal gear solid 4, the ending of the series, and kojima wanted both snake and otacon to die for their war crimes, what a fucking tragic end for the best gaming series ever made, NOT ALWAYS the creator has the right answer, thank god neither happened, megaman series continues, and metal gear solid 4 had such a great ending, bittersweet but at least snake died in peace
Damn I remember the first time completing this game it was 2am in the morning and I was wiped out from an intense final battle and the bad ending. The ending credits made it even more surreal.
Right into the feels, whichever ending you made in the game. My first game finished in a bad one, deleting X's memory of Zero by someone from his past (named "???")
i see where you're coming from, but x6 was a great game. i never got the chance to play x7 or x8. and i'm glad that they made those games because the x series is too dope to even consider quitting on. it doesn't really matter if zero keeps coming back to life or not. it's fun as hell to play as zero and megaman. the gameplay always keeps me coming back for more. all i need is a reason to kill robots lol
0:24 Lyrics: My soul hides, in the dark... My soul hides, in your heart... My soul hides, in your compassion... My soul hides, in my pain... I will never forget those moments of glory... I will never forget those moments of pain... I will never forget the day I save him... I will never forget their smiles... Everyone around me, I will not forget! They are everything to me...I won't forget them... I...begin to fail...I won't survive...I guess this is the end...this is the end...I know...I Know...
I'm not good at creating theme lyrics, I wanted to do it because I was bored and I thought it was the best theme to create it. Also, megaman x5 is one of my favorite games. 👍
@ChiefofStaff57 Zero only dies at the end of the Megaman Zero games after he defeats Dr. Weil, they both fall into the atmosphere and burn up on entry. Zero was fatally wounded at the end of X5, but repaired himself and made a return in X6. Zero did die, but not till years later after the Maverick Wars and Elf Wars.
back in 2000 when i cleared this game and then X6 came, ive always considered X6 as a SpinOff as i played X5 I knew that X5 was gonna be the definite end of the X series.
These days many games last anywhere from 25 to 100 hours or more. I still find it ironic that my favorite game in the X series can be beat in just under an hour.
@Tredogg1522 I think they decided to make it text because they didn't want to have crappy voice overs to fuck up the cutscenes for the English dub of this. Just imagine how badly all of the emotional scenes would be bastardized. Just look at what they did to Iris's death scene from MMX4.
@luisymercedes1 actually no, the zero series would've been made either way with the real X being the main villain but with x6 being released a lot of things were changed up
There’s supposed to be a part on the screen with all the Mavericks that says who provided the voices for the characters although I don’t see that here, wonder why? It looks like this: Voice Syotarou Morikubo Ryutarou Okiayu
...........SMH......ONE OF THE GREATEST MEGAMAN SONGS I'VE EVER HEARD.....AN THERE'S MANY...🙌🙌🙌👍😎👌BUT THIS ONE....HANDS DOWN👊💪💪...TOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HARD!!!!!
@anti4kids2000 yea x5 was probably my favorite. mainly cuz it was the only one i had growing up. i never gave x6 a chance when i was a little kid cuz i didn't think i could play as zero. but after i got a ps1 emulator i had the urge to play it and it's actually a damn good game. x4 is pretty good too, although it has terrible english voice acting lol. i like how they actually made an effort to animate it. in the later games they just got lazy or somethin.
@Pro21xx Indeed!! As for a matter of fact, the whole Megaman series should've ended here. Peace has been restored, the virus finally purged forever and passing tales of two of the greatest Hunters the world has ever experienced, will forever be told in the years ahead.
i just beat X5 just now with zero, and he dies...i didnt actually realise cuz i always thought the story continued with x6, i personally loved x6 but after beating x5 the song just fits for the end.
