Can't argue with that logic, wish they would have called it absolutely don't. Fucking cracks me up every time man, Rocco probably came up with that one. That actually inspired me to call DARE and be like, yeah, why do you guys still call it dare? They didn't have a good answer lol.
3:46 the song is Josh Jones - Goodbye it isn't available on youtube as far as I can see, but it is on a site called thesixtyone if you want to go check it out in full
It's established that Cul-de-sac doesn't know either of the boys when he meets them, and he doesn't know whether Derrick's character brings Patrick with him when he does deals with Len Dog, so why does he instantly assume Derrick's character is cool but question whether or not Rocco is? Because Derrick's character is brown? For shame, Cul-de-sac.
@Saibot216 Well if you actually believe in telepathy. But the experiment is based on sensory deprivation and there's no arguing that sensory deprivation will make your mind create fantastical images. I've listened to a lot of iDoser and it's just slightly different variations of static.
I downloaded some awhile back after seeing this, and all it is is a damn near hour beep noise, and it doesn't do shit except make your ears ring after hearing it.
Robert Conners it's because it's complicated... have to be in a meditated state and do the initial audio file that "gets you in the mindset" then you do the e-drug of you're choosing... There is a file that apperently is called a "stop all" which if you listen to will cancel out any highs you've had... kind of like an emergency exit on a bad trip lol
+Easy_Sleazy so what you're saying is you have to be stoned before yuo listen to the audio file?? alright ill try... but doesn' ttha t defeat the porpoise?
Batman No you don't have to be stoned, you just need to be in an empty mind state. the way it works is you listen to the initial audio file in order to ready your mind for the.... It's all bunch of pyschological crap that was popular a few years ago... Not very popular these days
DUDES I USED THEIR VIDEO FOR A SCHOOL PROJECT AND MY TEACHER BOUGHT IT AND SHOWED THE ENTIRE CLASS EVERYBODY WAS ON THEIR CHAIRS LAUGHING THE ASSES OFF! THX MEGA64
voices sounded weird, and kinda robotic-ish. [Got the soundfiles from Pirate Bay, dose was 'Out of Body'] Second "subject" was tested out in study hall, however it was the study hall of the next day. (separate classes) he too used his own headphones, and fell asleep. The same exact reaction was happening. He started making some strange twitch, and his eyes were opening up. I woke him up and he took off the earphones calmly. We asked how it was, and he too said our voices sounded robotic.
Apparently no one has heard of Binaural Audio. It does make you feel weird and crap but it's used for meditation. I use to do it all the time - it's very relaxing.
@MCJA94 It DOES actually have an effect, namely it induces your brainwaves to change frequency (this is something your brain does normally anyway). Usually that tends to increase creativity and relaxation, and can make you feel sleepy and sleep well. It's also got some uses in hypnosis. But it doesn't get you high, because the process of getting high is a pharmacological phenomenon, which (barring some extreme case that I can't think of) requires a drug to be introduced in order to happen.
LMAO yes! The news story at the beginning was from News 9 Oklahoma City. I've met that anchor a few times years ago when I worked at a restaurant he frequented.
Heard so many reports I decided to experiment. Just some binaural tones at different frequencies. Binaural tones DO have effects, but its only derived from confusing your brain as it tries to trace the origin of the sound. after a while the brain gives up on it and leads to a slightly disoriented sensation. It was developed for stress relief, and it does relax, but by no means drug like highs. Placebo effect is very fickle though, so that's where the drug-like behavior likely comes from.
The local news clip that's at the start of the vid is from Oklahoma City channel News 9. Their motto, "Stay with News 9, we'll keep you informed." I think.
Probably some psychological experiment. But I've heard that certain pitches can induce relaxation. I'm not so sure if they are strong enough to create hallucinations.
'Cul de sac' strangely is such a fitting name for the type of chracter that garret's portrayed here, like i can really see some white hippie type guy with dreadlocks calling himself 'culdesac' is exist in real life.
