Looks like Mario is even more lazy than Sans is. Sans actually bothered to show up to the fight.

Me: "He only has 1 HP! This is gonna be easy." Sans: *parts his jacket to reveal 56 Mega Rush badges and 239 Close Call badges* Me: "Oh crap."

I imagine Goombella's tattle would look like... "It's sans! Huh... it really is all in lower-case. Max HP: 1, Attack: 1, Defense: 0. He looks like his stats are nothing to sneeze over, but whenever you attack him, he'll dodge you. But you can't just stall with items, or we'll never get that chance to hit him! So really, we'll have to treat him like we did the Shadow Queen. Keep on the assault, and eventually, he'll have to slip up! Let's get em!"

I noticed that Sans is positioned to where if the backdrop were to fall over, the pillars wouldn't hit him and would only hit Mario instead. Nice touch!

My take on Goombella's tattle This is Sans, the Skeleton. He doesn't seem too intent on fighting... Max HP is 1, attack is 1 and defense is 0... While his stats may seem low, he can dodge anything you throw at him, and his attacks are quick AND pierce defense. Yikes... But don't stop attacking! He has to get tired eventually!

My own take on a Goombella Tattle entry This is...Sans? Uh...I don't think he's supposed to be here...either way, it seems nothing we do will be able to hit him! Just focus on survival until we get an opening! HP:1 Attack:1 Defense:-1

Goombario tattle: "That's sans, the big brother of Papyrus. HP 1, Attack 1, and defense 0. He may seem even weaker than the average Goomba, but he'll dodge every attack. He can sometimes attack with a gasterblaster that has an attack power of 2. He'll attack multiple times per turn so be prepared to guard or you'll have a bad time. Maybe he's got a secret weakness that will help us defeat him quickly." Goombella tattle: "This is sans. HP 1, attack power 1, and defense 0. He's normally a lazy bones, ugh who wrote this pun here. He will attack using thrown bones or gaster blasters that can pierce through defense. Watch out when his eye starts to glow blue, it's a sign that he's preparing a powerful attack. It says all attacks are ineffective against him. We've fought foes like this before Mario. Keep up the offensive and find out what his weakness is or we're gonna have a bad time!" Prefight: "I really don't want to fight you, but I made a promise to a friend that I'd keep this chest safe. If you keep pressing me to let you have it, you are really not gonna like what happens next. Still determined to get what's inside? Well don't say I didn't warn ya." Postfight(Loss): "You're lucky i'm not a heartless killer or you'd be dead right now." Postfight(win): "You're a lot tougher than you look... I'm going to just shut my eyes for a moment and... Zzzz" Reward for beating him: Monochrome Emblem. Makes Mario lose his color.

How I’d imagine the fight would be: Sans has only one attack and one health, with no defense. *However,* he seemingly took a page out of Mario’s book and learned how to superguard, and superguard he will. Every attack, that is. Doesn’t matter what you throw at him, hammer, jumping, partners, items, even the Stars can’t mix him up. As such, your only option is to wear him out. He’ll make sure you can’t, however, since he’ll pull a page from the Glitz Pit Superboss as well and attack you multiple times within a single turn, leading to that damage to stack up if you’re not careful with your dodging or superguarding. There is no crowd, and thus no star power, so conserve it as much as you can. Halfway through the fight, Sans will “spare” Mario, as he isn’t really a bad guy and whatnot. Guarding will end the fight there, but won’t really reap any reward, just Sans giving you a thumbs up or something. However, continuing to attack him will cause him to revoke your guarding entirely, so the only means to defend yourself is superguards (and good luck, since the attacks he’ll pull after are really hard to do so). After you finally hit Sans, he goes down as you’d expect, and you are given 1 XP alongside a Empty Bottle of Ketchup similar to the items you get from the other super bosses

How i imagine this fight: It wouldn't be Sans, but rather a Goomba or Koopa wearing a Dry bones' head as a helmet, this fight comes after you get Max. HP, Max. BP and Max. FP, there's no more XP to get, well, except one Star point. this enemy has 1HP, 1 Attack and 1 Defense. the catch, he can dodge your attacks and superguards. has multibonk dealing -1hp non-stop until you superguard, it only stops attacking and his turn ends. he gives a speech about the war between kingdoms (Toads and Koopas) and how many casualties and deaths happened, including the ones that were by Mario's hand. He'll slowly get tired after every successful supeguard until in the last breath he can't dodge it and dies.

I guess I'll do a tattle as well: That's Sans the Skeleton. No clue what he's doing here or how he got here but alright. Attack is 1. Defense is 1. HP is 1. Don't let those low stats fool you, he'll keep dodging our attacks and hit us with a variety of attacks of his own, his most dangerous attack, the Gaster Blaster, will do an immense amount of damage if he gets it off so it would be a good idea to hide with Vivian if he uses it. Anyway, the best we can do is to try and tire him out somehow and then strike!

Apparently, he’s a master at superguarding everything that goes his way, not even items and the crystal stars can hit him! Hmmm… he doesn’t look like he exercises a lot, maybe we can tire him out?

Sans would not be out to kill Mario because Mario only faces evil things that are kidnapping the Princess or have some other evil agenda. There, now we can have other more creative comments about this kickass song instead of that.

It's nice to listen to Megalovania again, haven't been listening to the undertale ost for a long awhile now. I know some people may say it's a bit cringy, but all I can think of is the nostalgia of watching lets-plays and listening to the soundtrack every so often. I'm grateful to see this song pop on my feed once more.

This is a banger! I love TTYD and recently played the remake! Also Undertale is a great game and I love the Sans boss fight!

That's sans! He lives in Snowdin with his brother Papyrus... or did. Max HP: 1, Attack 1, Defense 0. Don't be fooled by his stats, he's tough. Each attack hit's several times and pierces defense, so in reality he could take us out really fast if were not careful. Superguards aren't too helpful either, as he never attacks directly, so don't even bother. He may not look it, but he's surprisingly nimble, being able to dodge our attacks and items. However, he doesn't have a lot of stamina, so he has to get tired out if we attack him enough, right? One last thing; we don't have any audience for this fight. Makes sense, since we... y'know. Without an audience, we don't have a way of restoring SP, so use your special moves sparingly. Keep attacking, Mario! sans is the only thing standing between us and the absolute!

If you beat him, he drops "A Stack of 200 Lucky Day Badges"... an _Important Things_ item, NOT a Badge. Turns out Sans knows the badge duplication exploit _and_ hacked to gain more than the normal max amount of BP. Mario just happened to beat the *_0.75 ^ 200 = 1.028e-25_* odds on his 20th attack attempt.

You have a pretty good grasp on the arrangement style!! If I had to suggest any improvements, I'd say the guitar is a little too weak in the mix, as is the bass. At first I thought the latter wasn't doing enough interesting stuff in the first half, but it's just a little too quiet to hear! Modern Paper Mario really loves letting the bass guitar shine, and it's something that needs attention if you want to pull off an accurate imitation of the style. The synth work is FANTASTIC though, and all the new material at the end is a great fit for the vibe you're going for.

I imagine the fight would play out like "He opens with an unblockable attack, and every hit drains Star Power." The idea is you have to appeal and block attacks until you can use Supernova, which hits the whole screen- and thus is undodgeable.
