When you really think about it, this could be the darkest megaman X game. You’re fighting for the necessary pieces to save the world from total annihilation, and the places you visit are filled with people who have gone insane. Everywhere you go you’re surrounded by workers, soldiers, scientists who have fallen to madness, and those who still have their sanity ask you to put them out of their misery.
I like X8 but I'm still of the opinion that they shouldn't have kept fucking with this series and just let X5 be the last one. Not only because two of the biggest trainwrecks of the franchise came after, but also because the story had such a strong sense of finality, and the ending segues into the Zero series just fine without any major plotholes. Even if that one ending of X6 is actually what canonically leads to it. I don't think the Zero series even references any of the X games after the fifth.
i never played this x game but your right cause i seen a playthrough of it on yt this game so yeah but best game of the x series and one of the best megaman boss themes
@@timhook2086 Ok with Zero, you definitely won't be hearing this for long. But with X, you got at least a minute at the most to hear it, especially with Duff Mcwhalen. His reset is SLOW
Maybe for a Mega Man game, sure, but there are others that are comparable in those categories, like the SMT Nocturne boss theme. And yes I know it's stupid to reply to an 8 year old comment when you've probably figured it out by now.
@@Ragitsu the X-Hunters, Double, Magma Dragoon (in my opinion, this dude needed more to his character than just starting a war to fight X and Zero), Colonel and Iris (well, really most if not all of Repliforce, but those two especially), and I guess it would be nice to see more of Gate or Doppler?
You're not just fighting mavericks in this one. The 8 bosses in this game are one of your former maverick hunters, some are repliforce and they're all infected. The worst thing is they're asking you to put out of their misery.
The only real Mavericks were Spike Rosered and Dark Necrobat. Others were former hunters (Volt Kraken), Repliforce (Spiral Pegasus, Burn Dinorex), or just random blokes in the wrong place at the wrong time ala X3 (Crescent Grizzly, Duff, Shining Firefly) It would have been nice to have had a boss connected to Doppler, too.
other mavericks: "I've already been infected... Let's fight one last time" Axle the Red: "OH BOY ONCE THE WORLD IS DESTROYED I CAN STEAL WHATEVER I WANT! THIS IS HYPE"
@@GyroMan5136 Burn Dinorex : You're Maverick hunter, you're gonna fight me no matter what, right? Let's fight! X/Zero : (Not really had an intention to fight, but fights...)
Easily the best boss theme of all the X games. It symbolizes many of the fights perfectly: Your former reploid allies succumbing to the madness of the virus and becoming mavericks.
I love how well this boss theme goes with the game, it feels fitting for a fight that will decide the fate of a world destined to meet it's destruction
*Bosses when you need Enigma/Shuttle parts* X/Zero: Give me the parts Reploid: No X/Zero: Okay we are now considering you as a Maverick *Bosses when you don't need Enigma/Shuttle parts* Reploid: Why are you here? X/Zero: I don't know i just want to steal your powers
This isn't that dark. No, the music that drives me to despair is Shadow Devil's theme. It's a revival of an ancient menace. A robot type not seen in over a century with a warped W in the background. And you know it's his work. The most dangerous man to ever live left a final gift in case his virus wasn't enough. And for all the upgrades X has over Rock, it's still capable of crushing him.
Honestly, this is one of the best Boss Battle Themes in the history of gaming in my opinion. You can listen to it and let it loop over and over. Long Live The Mega Man X Saga!!!!!🤖🤖🆘⏳⌛️📡♨️☄️⛈☣️👾👾🌎
Its called internet humor! We humans did this since the stone age at enemy tribes and enemy nations, it was called propaganda. One of the best ways for your nation/tribe to prop itself up is to discredit and dishonor the enemy nation/tribe. Now we've turned this instinctive drive of ours into video game and media figures that we hated during our internet age. and we now turn it into humor. You don't need to get butthurt about it. Its just about having fun.
This boss battle theme in my opinion is the best and most fitting. Heres how i see the boss themes. X1 = Alright a boss fight, bring it punk! X2 = Another Maverick in my way, time to finish this. X3 = Your going down! X4 = The fuck....is this really the music? X5 = There isnt much time, a colony is going to crash into earth, theres no time for fooling around, its now or never...
@@romanpattysstuff X1: outta my way loser X2: The fuck....is this really the music? X3: _presses mute_ X4: bland X5: we dancing or we fighting? either way i'm down X6: personal favorite X7: AROUND AND AROUND (actually decent) X8: why do i keep sleeping on this
X1: Pretty great MHX: Awesome X2: Good X3 (SNES): It's alright, it could had more potential X3 (PS1/SS): I like this more than SNES one. X4: It's kinda ok-ish X5: My favorite boss theme of all X series X6: My second favorite boss theme X7: How's that close to the boss theme? It feels like a pre-fight theme. X8: It's a little decent, feels like a lost Shantae boss theme plus rock/metal.
I remember this song from a Mario Megaman Sonic (MMS) fan game on Newgrounds where this song plays as you fight Sigma. But I really want to start playing the Megaman X games.
X5 was an awesome game EXCEPT for 2 things: The goddamn tutorial messages you can' disable. AND The bad difficulty balance between the stages and the boss. i.e.: Insane stages but super-easy bosses. Other than that, the game is awesome. ^_^
@@soni-switch5270 At least you get decent upgrades on X5, the only reason to backtrack in X3 is to get Zero's saber and Golden armor, if you could get any of those 2 items on a specific stage, nobody would even care to backtracking unlike X5 where you at least get more decent upgrades...
@@naoaquieopatrickpatrick8565 Actually, the only thing you need to get the Z-Saber is to have kiiled Vile beforehand. Then you just have to beat the DS 2 miniboss as Zero.
Squidaler harasses the crap out of you by following you. Skiver uppercuts you mortal kombat style. Mattrex, another one that hits you hard as hell. Duff McWhalen throws you in the spikes when you piss him off. Axle the red takes a chunk of your life when he straps you in that vine rope. 😫😫. What more can we expect???
Tidal Whale: I've already been infected... Shall we fight for old time's sake? A duel! And I'll show no mercy! Zero: Your ship is about to set sail... ...for the last time!
@@witheredbonnie9268 Wonder why can't capcom give them one name only instead of making things more confusing (like calling Launch octopus in MMX but in X5 it's octopardo for some reason.)
@@naoaquieopatrickpatrick8565 Octopardo/Octopauld is his original/JP name. On one hand, English makes the Mavericks' names easier to memorize, by the virtue of being called by their respective animal/plant counterparts (or at least close to it). Japanese, on the other hand, is basically "title + actual name of the character". A good example of this is "Storm Eagle" vs "Storm Eagleed". X in English will call the Prince of the Skies "Storm Eagle" but X in the Japanese will call him "Eagleed" instead. This is the same thing with X's conversation with Kraken (Volt Kraken) which is roughly the direct English translation of the original Rockman X5 (and the reason Launch Octopus is called Octopardo instead of the former). Also, it's a good thing the Legacy Collection got away with the Guns N Roses references on the Mavericks of Megaman X5 and just go with their actual names, such as the aforementioned Volt Kraken instead of Squid Adler.
Such a good theme. I was actually reminded of this when I saw the new future paradox Pokémon, they remind me of the Mavericks, especially the GOAT Iron Valiant.
idk know if I have shit taste but I remember i was playing X4 and I wasn't having any fun at all, except for a couple spots but when I got to cyber peacock's stage, i just had enough and stopped playing Then I played X5 and I just had a blast, sure there were rough parts but it felt so much more fun to me, but that may be because i was playing a Zero still though
some of x5 bosses have attack that leads to instant kill such as whalen spike pit and the skiver punch that knock player to bottomless pit, thats how the boss should be
Bears can get poked by Spikes A Sharp Blade Cracks the Ice Water ruins Electronics High Voltages make Lights go-out Light expells Darkness Fast People can be stopped by stopping Time Wind blows out the Fire Fire burns the Rose
this song have the one piece effect; first time you say "what the heck is this shit!?" and later, without notice you are hooked, you can't get it out your head.
best boss theme megaman x has ever had, plus the game where i completely stopped playing with x and zero became a permanent favorite, just how bad ass is he
This theme is mainly about random Reploids affected by the Sigma Virus global outbreak during the Eurasia Incident (or should Sigma say his best work because of Dr. Wily's involvement to make Zero realized his original true purpose as his Magus Opus.). Volt Kraken is most tragic Mavericks in this game where the hunters & countless players get to witness his last moments of sanity before he gets completely overtaken by the Sigma Virus and sent into a berserk frenzy, forcing the hunters to put him out of his misery. Also more callbacks & tie-ins to the classic series & the previous X adventures like the Black Devil being a huge Yellow Devil homage, Rangda Bangda, Zero Virus being somewhere between his first & 2nd armor forms, Wily symbol, Quick Man lasers, and finally the capsules of X & Zero being all breached complete with Sigma's new body being more streamline version of X's & Zero's bodies & his giant form Gamma Sigma both built by Wily. This theme can't get any more tragic than seeing random infected Reploids literally fighting to the death with the hunters just to go out with a bang!
This was originally supposed to be the final game in the x series with the zero series following after. Then they made X6 and things just made no sense.
@@popgoesvideosgames7066 I only say that because its not put together well at all and I think they got real lazy when they designed it. The soundtrack was great though.
The X series bosses were a pain in the arse, because when you start hurting them, they get mad too and start changing their pattern. And then you;re like "Time to GET SERIOUS!" :P
YEAH, dude, I love Smash Bros. is the only japanese fighting game that not sucks. Dude, Marvel vs Capcom, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, shit vs Capcom and whatever Street Fighter sucks like Justin Bieber songs. The only fighting game that don't sucks is Mortal Kombat and Dinasty Warriors (and this is no a full-fight game). SO, SMASH BROS. IS THE BETTER. FUCK YOU, CAPCOM AND HIS GAY STREET FIGHTER GAMES.
***** Come on Zent, you know that I am Super Smash Bros. fanboy, for that reason i cant let anyone taunt in my game. Also, I'm Capcom Fighting game hater (no include Mega Man fighting games, because they are awesome). Actually, your comment don't upset me but your mentioned a Capcom vs game, so yeah, that fucked me up.
Wau, aun recuerdo el Boss Rush Mode previo a Sigma....todos los Bosses con la vida igual de alto q la pantalla...me gustaba derrotarles mas con variedad de ataques q con sus armas q les aturdian...
You're right man. Every game has both ups and downs, I hated when they took away the anime cutscenes in X5-6 (and also the skip button in X5). but looking at them, they are well drawn. Even the CGI from X7-8-CM is very nice, capcom does very good cel shaded animation.
