Phoenix Magnion's stage was possibly the best stage I ever played. I was mindblown as a kid when I discovered the secret route, and felt really accomplished when I discovered I could take the generators down out of sequence. Damn, each of the MMZ games had such great vibes, each of them different.
I'm personally not the biggest fan of the bomb gimmick, but other than that it's a great stage with an incredibly challenging boss. Not to mention, this damn music just makes it even better.
Super late reply but leveling up Zero's buster is a lot faster han the saber. I always use the buster exclusively in the Panther's stage to get not only get the X-Form, but also the exp stat that will level up the buster to lv 3 midway through Phoenix's stage.
I honestly didn't like this boss he was easy and annoying especially with his clone attack and how he dodges the first attack you make every time his stage was boring and the conditions for that cyber elf was cruel
I was blown away for the leve's epic BGM I swore I have hear it before but I couldn't remember... now I know it's from Led Zeppelin. The level it's mad, it's like a labyrinth. It took many many minutes to figure out. Then the flame phoenix came.. it wasn't easy at all
There's a difference between contrabass and bass, my friend. The contrabass is the part that plays the repeating three notes during the first part, and then takes the melody in the second part.
Yep, first thing I thought when I heard the intro. :) Capcom has a history of being influenced by rock and metal bands, so it is not really a surprise (one track in MMX3 was basically a straight cover of a Guns'n'Roses song)
I've seen the Battle Network and Zero series start up and I've gotta say it's ironic that both games didn't hit their stride until the second game. The first entries in both of those games were so off putting even as a kid. Battle Network 1 was monotonous and Zero 1 was way too fuckin' hard due to bad design choices.Worst of all, the soundtracks didn't even stand out. Luckily we got sequels to both that improved in every way especially the music. This is one of my favorite pieces in Zero 2.
Mega Man 1 is at least 100% harder than MMZ1. It's still damn hard, but at least we had enough save points and there was no real reason to hurry because there were no Ex-skills to get with an A or S rank.
This song is epicness, starting right from the intro~ When I think about it, I imagine Zero walking into a building out from the dark, holding the Z-Saber and facing an army of Maverick X-Clone-Things~ With a calm demeanor, of course~ ;D
That's what I thought when I heard this, since I did a marching band show using Kashmir. Yeah, I agree since it has the same 3/4 juxtaposed on top of 4/4 feel and string ostinato playing the first three 8th notes every 3/4 bar.
Alex Portillo The coolest but also the most dangerous boss we all were afraid of early in the game so we fought him last and probably did Snakey or Tigre first.
@RoflMcaww Yeah, that's about it. Bunch of edited video game sprites with custom animations set to a storyline. It's really awesome, actually. By the way, it's being remade with actual artwork drawn by Kirbopher himself. Anyway, the series itself as it is spans about 75 episodes or so. It really is amazing.
@RoflMcaww If the TTA in question is the one I'm thinking of, it's a flash toon made by kirbopher15 on Newgrounds. Look up his username and you should find it somewhere in there. Great series, really.
Personally, I found this to be both easy and difficult. Easy if you got everything done right, but HARD if you mess up even once. One mistake with Pheonix Magnion, and it's Game Over!
The Xi are a race of heavily mutated cyborgs, most in various scattered pirate clans. It is unclear to the other races where the Xi came from, but the truth is dark and tragic. EvolvIng as territorial predators, they could not master their territorial impulses and a feirce war broke out. Using nuclear bombs, they destroyed most of their cities, and irradiated the rest. A group of survivors escaped into space, and left their now dead homeworld behind. They were attacked during this time by a now extinct race. Fueled by sheer desperation, they began research into cloning and genetics. Renegade and outlast Xi attempt to integrate into other societies, but often find themselves discriminated against. However, engineers find themselves in awe of the Xi’s construction skills and techniques. The Xi are able to build extremely efficient machines out of mere scraps and peices, though they often lack safety devices and appear crude.
