Honestly the worst is when you re-watch it. Second time around you notice that after they leave Rose The Doctor isn't sad and thinking about Rose. He's staring at Donna with that crushed look on his face because he knows what's about to happen and that it's about to happen real soon. That's why everything he says to her before she starts her decline is dripping with dread.

His hand over her shoulder looks like Thing from The Addams Family is watching Doctor Who together with them.

It's that moment where Donna is repeating "binary" and the Doctor isn't surprised or worried, just resigned. He expected it, he knew it was coming.

Doomsday episode: "Why is Catherine Tate there? I don't like Catherine Tate!" Journey's End: "I'm so happy!" Ten minutes later.... "Donna! No, Donna! Donnaaaa.... There's a hole in my heart, now Donna is gone."

This broke my heart in 2008 watching for the first time. Watching again with you just broke my other heart.

"The destruction... of reality... itself!" Pure supervillain madness. I love that line. I loved when the Doctor* reacted to what Jackie's boy's name was. It had surprise, humility, and joy, all at once.

Such an amazing but simultaneously the worst finale. Amazing cause it brought everyone together and gave a proper ending, but it stopped the best companion in new who from ever returning.

All these years later and I’m still upset by Donna’s exit. So sad!

Do I want a video like that (Character/Episode/Era Analysis)? *HELL YEAH!!* I'd recommend a video on each companion, especially Donna and a video on the entire RTD era after you've finished it, with fav and least fav episodes/characters/etc.! Also: I do love seeing people react to this, less because of sadistic reasons but like Elliot pointed out it somehow helps me cope with my fair bit of 'trauma' going through that hell of a journey myself a couple years ago! Didn't notice it when I first watched it, but hearing Dalek Khan pass judgement on the destruction the Daleks had wrought and said "No More" now gives me chills.

I love this episode. This is the true finale to the RTD era for me.

This is a minor thing but I realized something this watch, when the Doctor takes away the power from Donna, he touches her head. He could've done the same technique for Rose with the TARDIS consciousness. But he didn't.

It's truly tragic that the most important woman in the universe will never know how important she really was.

Lots to fit in but I was sorry to miss the Daleks flying through the woods saying "Exterminieren!" and shouting in German.

This episode chokes me up every time I see it. And I think that taking away Donna's memories broke something inside The Doctor. He's just not the same after this.

Such an emotional and thrilling episode to end the series on. This reaction video reflects that. In fact, I found it hard to watch Megan cry :/ I remember when this ep aired in New Zealand for the first time. Back then, DW was usually shown a week after the UK transmission, and I remember the cliffhanger resolution being spoiled. That didn't detract too much from my enjoyment of watching it for the first time though. Anyway, great reaction and I'm looking forward to the Steven Moffat era!

It took old Megs some time to catch on near the end that the Donnarstag Noble Unit developed a fault. She didn't even pick up on the 20th Binary lol.

Awwwww Poor Megan... This really was a rollercoaster of emotions... Donna is my no.2 companion. In absolutely love her. She brought something fresh to the show with her witty and light hearted personality and I adored it. Her losing her memory of the Doctor and losing everything she had become over her time with the Doctor, for me is the brutal ending to a companion in NewWho. Her character arc was beautiful. Seeing her in The Runaway Bride and seeing her here in Journeys end is like seeing to completely different people... it really was tragic seeing that that had been taken from her. Personally, Rose is my least favourite companion so seeing her get her happy ending didn't really mean much to me. But from a lot of reactors that I have watched the happiness of Roses ending sort of decreased the sadness of losing Donna which really annoyed me. And I was really happy so see Megan crying her eyes out (trust me I mean that in a good way) Can't wait for the specials and Series 5 (my favourite), which is only a few weeks away now... if u react to Waters of Mars and End of time Part 1&2... which I'm guessing are the next ones. Anyway Love these reactions so much and can't wait for more!!!😊😊😊

Imagine if Donna never got hit by that electricity from Davros and she got electrocuted and survived later on in her life. She'd become doctor donna but no idea why she had become so clever...but then she'd die because there was never meant to be a hybrid of time lords and humans.

Okay, the scene where Davros asks the Doctor how many people have died in his name is really tragic, but still, even though Davros is a megalomaniacal fascist, calling the Doctor's companions murderers is a little bit rich. Some of them didn't even kill up to that point.

Never liked Rose, still don't. Do have to say Rose post-separation from the Doctor did get better for me haha. That said, didn't hate the romance, since I'm a hopeless sucker for that. Though even that felt pretty 2-dimensional at times, yet also had poignant moments. HOWEVER, boy did my heart crack at the scene on the beach. I immediately thought back to the Family of Blood. Where the Doc sees as John this beautiful human life flash by in a moment. And how I think he states/thinks something along the lines of never being able to have a life like that. And then here we are, a piece of him broken off, getting exactly that wish yet at the same time, once again, not at all. Just a glimpse of another self off to live out a life he can only imagine. And then of course directly following is the tragedy of Donna. So much sorrow, so much pain. Brilliant. Love the reactions! So passionate!

Great reaction but I was sad to see that you did not include davros speech. Same with the sontarians about the doctor and the time war in the sontarians strategium. Not many reactors include them which is annoying.

I have only just thought of this after 11 years but what does Jackie actually do in this episode. I love her but she does not get stuck in with the action with daleks when Donna takes control she is just comic relief in the tardis and what happens on bad wolf Bay could have been done by rose and the bit where mickey tells her that she is staying in n space. She is just there for no real reason where ever one else in the ensemble is. Sorry Jackie!

Hey EMS Productions. Please don’t take this as any hate at all as that isn’t what I’m aiming for. I don’t know if anyone can agree but I just get really annoyed when I see only Megan carrying the commentary over the entire episode, I understand that obviously every new episode is her first time watching it etc, but Elliot just kind of sits there and doesn’t say anything throughout the entire episode and just stares at the camera or Megan every now and then. I can’t speak on how easy/hard it is to make a reaction video as I’ve never done one before, but all Elliot needs to do is just talk a bit more during episodes to help carry commentary too. As you’ve seen it before surely you know some facts and stuff during episodes that you could possibly bring up to Megan? You could make funny comments during the fun parts of the episode, literally anything. It was just bugging me for a while that Megan is the only one properly carrying the commentary here and I had to speak out. ❤️ Again, this was NOT hate.
