Important to note on Bacha with appo. It can be negated because appo negates activation not the effect being activated. It’s very poorly worded but bacha will not protect that
@@rejeanbrown3621 so bacha says the effects of fusion melodious monsters cannot be negated. But appo negates the activation of the effect not the effect itself. The effect never happens to be negated. I hope this helps

The melodious engine in literally any deck is free real estate. You don’t have to worry about shit cause they can’t nib you without giving you a free vortex dragon. At best the melodious package baits 2-3 interactions BEFORE you commit your core decks function. 100% getting super upgrades for this engine in OTS 25
Lol I'm trying to use it in goblin biker I'm currently using the super heavy samurai package to get to therion king regulus but I'm thinking of replacing that engine with this one and when I get the two refrains on the board overlay for spriggans merrymaker into sargas to search for the regulus the only problem would be to make sure I can somehow get a machine into the grave to summon it out but that shouldn't be a problem. I'm just a bit apprehensive cause I have to commit a lot into my extra deck for it similar to the ghost trick package I was running before
I love using the engine in Lightsworn. Not only do you have all the lines and benefits that you outlined in the video, but the scales allow you to Pendulum Summon a bunch of Lightsworn monsters that might otherwise be stuck in your hand. Ever see what happens when a Garroth is allowed to stick on the field? XD
There are ways to use Soprano the Songstress for the dump effect on the scale, which provides another level 4 on board, but obviously puts another brick in the deck. Then you can have the option to go for the new level 8 fusion, which is actually very good imo.
@@ggGio Using the fusion, probably. It atleast has applications in dodging nibiru and targeting effects. It’s random, but using this variation for the extra body, I used Melodius as an engine in Exosister. Since one ostinato gets you 2 rank 4s and some omnis/appo and a magnifica.
Tbh I've been liking the melodious engine a lot in Chimera, but I feel like there are other decks where the engine shines a lot more. A common issue I've been seeing people have is that generally you have too many normal summons in Chimera and little ways to protect your normal since we're in a handtrap heavy format. This means that if you open Refrain instead of Ostinato, your options are cut very short and you have to commit more to a normal summon if you didnt open a way to fusion first for the coatl protect. Still think there's some room for change like maybe cutting back on the refrains or maybe cutting Tamtam.
I only think it's not going to see an insane amount of play because none of the best decks need it to be good (like snake eye), and it there doesn't seem to be another deck that utilizes it well enough to compete. I think it'll just keep popping up here and there as a pure deck in top cuts until something is released that really takes advantage of it like a new Pendulum archetype that is all light monsters or something.
It’s a lot of extra deck requirements which people don’t like (depending on your deck) also I feel like this engine is gonna be outplayed by fiendsmith cause realistically that deck actually doesn’t have any bricks and people tend to look more for the non-bricky engines, if they do hit this deck further down the line I think refrain to 2 might do it tbh
Judges have been ruling that impermanence/effect veiler vs bacha doesn't negate the effect that special summons but will still have a lingering negate afterwards

its tough because there's not really one link on its own that does what s:p does. You could just play beatrice or something in that slot instead? That's probably the next card in line to make it into the extra deck
@ggGio you're completely right, but sadly, it is also the same reason that card is about 100 doubloons. Beatrice was the first coming to my mind. Maybe I'll take 1 cosmic out of the side deck and put 1 copy of Rise to full height or any other useful target. What do you think?

After watching the video, melodious sounds really fun to play, but what are the restrictions with the engine if any? I want to try adamancipator with a melodious package but I am not sure if the combos and lines of play will work as well as superheavy samurai.
The restriction is that you need to start with Ostinato since it needs zero monsters on the board. Also if you draw Refrain instead of Ostinato you'll need to normal summon it instead.
Yeah, there's another variant of the combo that you can do with normal summon refrain! It doesn't end on as much obviously but its still an apollousa for 2 and either a link 2 or a rank 4 plus a draw and scales. It really depends on what deck you're playing for that to be worth it though (mainly for decks that can make use of the pend summon better)

Refrain scale eff to send refrain #3 to gy, link for cross-sheep or IP, cl1 bacha on refrain in gy, cl2 concerto to draw, link refrain and the link 2 for exceed, exceed eff for refrain, exceed summon, link again for apollousa for 2, pend summon 2 refrain and make a link 2 or r4

@@KidInari I'm not entirely sure what the PK extra deck looks like these days but if you can fit in the 3-4 extra cards for the combo I don't see why not, seems better than adventure in theory
