You couldn't super jump backwards in old Melty, but you could neutral super jump and forward super jump. This was crucial, because some characters (F-V.Akiha) needed to do TK 22 motions, so they had to do 227 to make sure they didn't super jump.

I definitely struggle connecting jump ins, continuing jump ins into strings/combos, and defending against jump ins. This video is definitely helping me understand why, and also giving some ideas how to fix it!

This is probably very helpful for a lot of players; the kind of neutral and movement in this game really isn't like other fighting games, so it's definitely gonna take some time getting used to. Appreciate the guide. Content like this is great, especially with just how many new players seem to be coming to this game.

I have just been air throwing people and trying to tag them with jump A. I have quickly realized this is not the best strategy to rely on against a large chunk of the cast. I still think it is a useful strategy to keep in mind. Besides that I try to run under people.

The extra movement options in moon drive go unused wayyy too often, it opens up the game so much

Man I've only played a bit of mbaacc but learning this game has been fun af. Gonna work on blowing up mashing today. The repeat system kinda mind fucks me in the middle of fights and I always fuck it up. Also how are you confirming off of warcs j.b? I play reggae arc and it seems like you can't really get fatal counter confirms off it unless it's footsie range?

Any tips on Meatys in this game? I have the feeling that you don't get a lot of options to pressure opponent on wake-up after you drop a combo (e.g. I drop my corner combo and get a knockdown, but can't pick the enemy up again reliably) Feels like there aren't as many low hitting moves with good active frames. Also : How to avoid auto combos? It's been a pain getting into them a lot of the times when I don't want to. I know clean inputs are a workaround, but anyone got some tips I can try in training?

I don't have all day to exlore in training mode....I am often exhausted after work. Anyway...(that was probably uncalled for, rating this game below stale NRS titles. Sorry if i offended anybody! I take it back, BTW. FULL RECANT!) Original post below \/ \/ ... I am trying S0 *HARD* to like it but it isn't working. Auto combo makes it awful. If I want to mash buttons and focus on movement I'll play a 3D arena fighter, like KLK "if". But most likely I'll go back to strIVe. Hell I'd rather keep playing mk11, or even injustice2, even gods among us. And I was actually excited for this luke warm mess. Very upset. Don't remember the last time i was THIS disappointed in a FG. I suppose i can focus on learning skull girls, then. Between that and strIVe, I should survive until KOF15.
