He was a serial killer. Thanks for showing us new stuff, as most of us are tired of the ted bundy, etc etc, they gotten overkill, you keep it fresh many thanks. Hope you are doing well.
Thanks so much for checking it out! Yeah I really try to listen to others suggestions and find uncommon stories. I’m well, thanks for checking in hope you are too!
Very well done. I’ve been trying to get some other crime reporters to do a story about Nathaniel Bar Jonah who was arrested in Montana for the murder of a young boy around 1996. Bar Jonah lived in an apartment above my sister when this occurred. I hope you’ll look into it. Love your videos.
I really wonder what was going on with Pat Barrington, that she lived with Melvin Rees and even posed as his wife. It seems that she was one of the few women, whom Melvin Rees came in contact with, who he didn't try to murder. Pat Barrington lived a strange life. She seems to have had her own demons to deal with (besides Melvin Rees).
I don’t know but I think anyone who commits murders like this is not sane. But sane or insane murderers should be in prison for life with no parole. I’m not for the death penalty but I’d rather have them executed than be set free
No problem! Glad you’re enjoying the videos! These stories are heart breaking, but thankfully I’m not suffering from all this awful homework I give myself. I’ve always had a strong interest in true crime and just wanted to share, and educate those also interested. I appreciate you caring and thank you for being a part of this community! 😊💕
Thanks for clearing up whether he got fried. I read in the book about Harvey Glatman he had but then read somewhere else he died as you said.Shame he didn't get the walk. Makes you wonder who decides which killer gets the worldwide recognition like Bundy or Manson & who doesn't.
I remember reading about this guy many years ago. He was an absolute savage. Forced Mildred to watch while he raped her young daughter Susan and after raping her, he killed the young girl. He then raped the mum and forced her to perform other sexual acts before murdering her. He was high on drugs as mentioned and was having a conversation with his musician friend Glenn Moser. What stood out to Moser was the fact that Rees mentioned details to him that only the killer could have known. Moser then got into contact with the authorities informing them about Rees but being a travelling musician, Rees was tough to get a hold off until he got back in contact with Moser some time later.
Hey Ash and Ashlings, awful case, well executed (excuse pun) by yourself. Live stream sounds interesting - would it take into account U.K time zone too? So us friends from across the pond can join in :)
Hey friend! I’ll do some research into the differences in time zones. I’m not sure which would be better a day time/night time. I guess it would depend on the day because I’d love for everyone to be able to check it out 😊
New sub.... Love seeing some unknowns. Are you keen on a book called, "In Cold Blood" by Truman Capote? Features, in depth, the Clutter family massacre on November 15, 1959 in Holcomb, Kansas... and more. If so, sorry to bother...
I’ve actually had another viewer mention this book to me. It’s on my reading list and I do plan to cover it in a future upload! Thanks so much for the recommendation and thanks for joining the channel 😊
What a fascinating case! You're doing great with all these obscure cases. I've never heard of this weirdo either, and you did an absolutely bang up job. 👏 One miniscule little nit... I mostly listen while I work and the long pauses before and during the new dates had me wondering if my internet punked out again. 🤔 The third time I wiped my hands off and got halfway to my phone before you started up again was pretty embarrassing 😖😳. And I was alone🤦♀️😄🤪
It's been profiled before. But I think the Israel Keyes case is on of the most fascinating cases I've ever encountered. His level of organization, and the scope of his crimes in geographical terms is astounding. And what we don't know.. A well written script, and film portrayal of this story might be quite good.
@@catheryndenton1766 I am so very sorry, Catheryn. Our furbabies are our four-legged angels. I lost my little Nellie Bear (bichon/Shih Tzu) in July 2020. She would've turned 13 years old last Christmas. My poor baby and yours. R.I.P. 😥💔🐕
@@unde.rtheashtree Hey I can appreciate the time and effort ya put into your channel I subbed and will check out your other videos . Hope All is Good with you !
These monsters are ALL insane, that does not mean they should be allowed to live for their heinous crimes! I'm so sick of mental illness as an excuse to deny a punishment, especially the death penalty. Society is owed justice for the loss of their right to a safe environment. A living monster continues to steal that right. Only the monsters demise is justice. Anything less than execution is another crime in itself. IMO.
Wow, what a horrible yet fascinating story!! Well presented as well! I have never heard of this maniac! Which is nice after watching the same old murderers all the time> (not that I want more murderers of course! lol ) Applause to Under the Ash Tree
In 1972, the Santa Cruz area of California was stalked by 3 different male serial killers at the same time! The most famous of the three was Ed Kemper. For many weeks, female bodies were found all over this relatively lightly-populated area. Women of the county were terrified - and with good reason. I believe this would make a very interesting episode for your channel.
I think a live stream would be awesome. Thank you so much for this video! I’m being completely honest when I say I’ve never heard about this guy, so job well done! This may be an odd question; but did you grow up by the Great Lakes? We have the same Great Lakes Inland “accent”? 🤔
@@unde.rtheashtree Oh wow! We are quite a distance from each other on the continental shelf! I am from Cleveland Ohio. 😂 Regardless, you have the perfect voice for telling these gruesome, sad stories. I hope this doesn’t sound weird, but you and another channel have a calming tone. It does help the viewer when hearing some difficult facts on a case.
yeah completely different! Nah I appreciate it, I’d rather people say I have a calming voice rather than it being compared to nails on a chalk board! 😂
@@unde.rtheashtree thank you so much it would mean so much to me if you enjoyed it! I'm a small channel so likes and comments help, you know the struggle lmaoo
Very good presentation provided with lots of information including facts about this coward's crimes that aren't well documented.I believe that Rees is responsible for more than the 5 murders that he was convicted of as well as the 2 other homicides that he confessed to in later years. He was an enigma but personally most killers are in my opinion.I've yet to see or hear of a clip that covers the murders and most likely sexual assaults of the 2 teenagers from Maryland that he abducted and killed in 1956.He confessed to their murders to a reporter in 1985 but he denied the murders of the 2 teenagers in suburban D.C. the previous year.I believe his name came up during the homicide investigations of Mary Fellers and Shelby Venable.Their deaths crossed State lines and law enforcement in Virginia and Maryland attempted to solve the case.
Here's a guy who's a talented musician, but instead of being known for that, he goes down in history as "The Sex Beast" and as a corpse rapist. What a sick waste of space!
The music scared meh because my volume was so loud and I didn't know this guy was such a monster until now, thank you for showing me this to the social media ❣️.
