Hello mam, My baby Girl was born Normally on this Oct 13, Thanks to you, I was in control in most of my contractions. I used yogi breath that you taught in normal delivery video and I distracted myself with low toned voice instead of screaming. Also, I pressed two sided comb with my both hands to distract myself from pain. As my waves got stronger, I told myself that every wave is bringing me closer to my baby; The positive affirmation that you said at the end of the video. Some doctors and nurses are amazed that I was calm and collective although it is my first baby. Thank you so much mam.

No informed consent is the big one! Just like with cervix checks. My doctor would just snap her gloves on and keep talking and I'd have to say "What are you doing? If it's a cervix check I don't want it." It makes me think of the "husband stitch" *gag*

@@noreenkhumalo4000 I had mine at 40w1d and it failed; it caused 7 hours of prodromal labor. My midwife told me that the likelihood of it working is dependent on your cervix. If it's still posterior (hasn't tipped yet), it's likely to just cause chaos in your body and not actually send you into labor. However if your cervix is ready, it's more likely to work

It's disturbing and sad how women and girls don't have bodily autonomy in any capacity. Female patients are treated like livestock in the healthcare industry.

If possible, please write a bad review for the doctor to warn other women to steer clear of them! I would also report them to the medical board.

My doctor did this without my consent and my water broke that night but I had no contractions. Ended up having to get pitocin to induce but wasn't told how it would be more painful then regular contractions. I almost made it to 40 weeks though. This time I'm not letting my doctor do that at all.

Yeah this was done to me with my first and I wasn't asked, nor was consent given. The nurse was so damn rough that after my emergency c-section I was so swollen they were giving me ice packs to keep on my vag. She basically reamed me out. I was in pain for days!

Im really really trying to understand the obsession doctors have with inducing labor. I have read and generally understand that there CAN be complications if you go past 40 weeks but I've heard so so many stories of doctors taking what I consider drastic/invasive measures before 40 weeks and I just don't get it. Doesn't our body know when the time is right? Why can't we wait until 40 weeks to start getting all up in the cervix and using medications!??!

Same the reasons I have seen was for 3 reasons. 1.Doctor wants to go on a vacation over the weekend. So if the woman is 37-39 of already in labor they’ll do whatever 2. Doctor wants you to do go home and it’s the end of their shift 3. Money

I cannot understand the obsession woth inducing labor either. But doctors have an incentive to do whats convenient for them and BABY not MAMA. Everyone cares more abt baby, not you or your health. Thats why id say if you’re healthy, dont bother w inductions.

My friend had this happen to her she was at her 38 week appointment the doctor said that she wanted to do a cervical check which my friend said yes to. So my friend got the table, and that the doctor said to put her heels together and take deep breaths and that she wanted to deliver my friends baby( Since her actual Doctor was out of town and returning in two days). So,she stripped her membranes which my friend didn’t know what it was and did not consent to it my friend said she felt violated and very uncomfortable when the doctor did it. After an hour or two after the appointment my friend started feeling heavy contractions and went to the hospital and the same doctor then broke my friends water still without her consent and after an hour my friend her baby.

I'd be taking that doctor to court to get her license taken away or suing the doctor for malpractice at the very least

especially if I’m not at my 40 week mark. that’s a little off to me, I’m due in february & I stg if they try to force me to go into labor & my baby clearly isn’t ready, we’re gonna have a big ass problem. I don’t understand why they try to rush the baby out.

Lack of informed consent is ILLEGAL. Ladies, START SUING! It's time for women to start fighting back and stop putting up with the blatant misogyny and abuse in the healthcare industry.

@@CotiArgyou must be a man. A pregnancy cannot just come when "it's ready"
@youngxmama2804

@@CotiArgIt is not always safe for the mother to carry her baby for that long. Which is why there are options for intervention if needed. If some babies are in there for 42 weeks, they will be much too large to fit through the birth canal, that would be dangerous for both the mother AND baby which could result in an emergency c section anyway. 🤷🏻‍♀️
@Ayverie4
@Ayverie4 6 месяцев назад
A baby can ONLY come "when they're ready". Literally, science does not even know what starts labor. I am 42 weeks right now waiting on my baby, and that is completely natural to my body. I had two other long pregnancies. Yes, going postdate comes with risks, and so does interventions. 🤷‍♀️ Do not intervene with nature unless you know you have a good reason, not a BS reason the doctor made up for their convenience.
